"I will not let her stay anymore in my house. Now you would have to choose one, me or her."
"Mira! She is my mother...how I would ask her to leave?"
"Alright...but I am not going to stay with her anymore."
Mira started to pack her suitcase. She was stubborn and harsh. She was arguing with her husband to ask his mother to leave their house as she wanted to rule the house all alone. Although her mother-in-law was a humble lady and she never objected to Mira even once, still she was not ready to live with her. Azan tried hard to make her understand, but all was in vain. So he came to his mother and said,
"Mom! I tried hard...but she was not willing to hear anything. I am helpless...you would have to go."
"Azan! My son....you are my only hope! Where I would go?"
"I don't know anything...I can't live without her...you would have to go and that's all!"
Her eyes were filled with tears and she pleaded to her son but he was not ready to hear anything. Finally, she left the house in deep pain. All her life, she struggled hard to provide a good life for Azan. Her husband died at a very young age and no one could support them. So she did everything for her son and made him a good man, but Azan forgot the sacrifices of his mother and made her homeless.
She spent the whole day on the road with the hope that her son would come to take her, but it was her whim. In the evening, she went into the shelter home with a heavy heart, as she was left with no other option.
On the other hand, Mira was happy as her wish was fulfilled. Now she was the only owner of the house. Azan was also satisfied to see his wife happy. After a few months, Azan was blamed for shifting one million from his office. He was jailed and they asked him to pay the penalty. He never had any savings as his wife was an extravagant lady. So they left with no option except to sell their house to pay the penalty and the remaining money he invested in the business. But he got a huge loss from the business too.
Now he and his wife were on the road. He made his mother homeless, but now he was homeless. This was the slap of karma. He realized his mistake and he was ashamed of what he did with his mother. So he decided to bring his mother back. He searched all the shelter homes and to his surprise he found out that she had died a month ago. He was left with lifetime regret.
