Hi guys

Hello friends! How are you all? I hope you all are doing well. I am also doing well. So today I am back again with a new post. Today I made an open tulip flower and making it is very easy. So I thought I should share its tutorial with all of you. It also looks very beautiful at the end. That is why I decided to share its tutorial.

By the way guys as you can see in the thumbnail I have placed all the crochet flowers I have made in one vase. They all look so beautiful together. If you haven't seen my previous crochet flowers yet then you can check out my previous posts. I have made a lily flower lavender and a white rose. I have also shared tutorials for all of them. You can check those out too. By the way this is my last flower that I have made so far. I haven't crocheted any other flowers yet. If I make more in the future then I will share their tutorials with you too.

Materials Needed

Okay so without wasting much time let's start making an open tulip flower. First of all we need yellow yarn green yarn and pink yarn. We also need wire scissors pliers and a crochet hook.

Flower Parts

Now let me explain how we are going to make this flower. We need to make three small petals and then three large petals. We also need to make one leaf and stamens. After assembling all these parts our flower will be ready.

Making Small Petals

First of all let's make the small petals. To make small petals we need to make eleven chains. I have used pink yarn but you can use any color yarn you like. After making eleven chains we will skip the first chain and make one slip stitch in the second chain. Then make one single crochet. After that make one half double crochet and four double crochet. Then again make one half double crochet and one single crochet. Now make two slip stitches in the same stitch. After that on the opposite side make one single crochet and one half double crochet. Then make four double crochet and again one half double crochet. Make one single crochet and then one slip stitch.

Now we will take the wire and our petal base is ready. We just need to make single crochet stitches around the wire so that the wire gets inserted into our petal. In this way our small petal will be ready. Now we have to make two more small petals in the same way.

Making Large Petals

Okay so now it's time to make the big petals. The pattern for big petals is almost the same. There is just a little difference. First of all we need to make thirteen chains. Then make one slip stitch and one single crochet. After that make one half double crochet. Now instead of four double crochet we will make six double crochet. Then again make one half double crochet and one single crochet. After that make two slip stitches.

Now on the other side we have to make one single crochet and one half double crochet. Then make six double crochet and one half double crochet. After that make one single crochet and one slip stitch. In this way our big petal base will be ready. Now we have to insert the wire using the same process. We just need to make single crochet stitches around the wire. In this way our big petal will also be ready. Now make two more big petals in the same way. We need a total of three small petals and three big petals.

Making the Leaf

Okay so now it's time to make the leaf. First of all we will make twenty chains. Since we also need to insert wire into the leaf we will insert the wire into the base itself. We will not make single crochet stitches around it. We will insert the wire from the beginning.

Now around the wire we have to make one slip stitch and one half double crochet. Then make thirteen double crochet and one half double crochet. After that make one single crochet. In the last stitch make three single crochet stitches in the same stitch. Now on the opposite side make one single crochet and one half double crochet. Then make thirteen double crochet and one half double crochet. After that make one single crochet and one slip stitch. In this way our leaf will also be ready.

Making the Stamen

Okay so now let's make the stamen. First of all we have to wrap yellow yarn around the wire. Then wrap green yarn around it. Close the wire properly and do everything carefully so that it takes the shape of a stamen.

Assembling the Flower

Okay so now everything is ready. We just need to assemble the flower. First of all we will take a long wire. Then we will attach our stamen to it. We will secure it properly inside the wire with the help of green yarn and glue.

Now we will attach the small petals around it first. Then we will attach the big petals and secure them properly too. Once the flower is attached properly we will start wrapping the long wire with green yarn. In the middle we will also attach our leaf. Then we will continue covering the wire with green yarn. At the end we will apply glue. And in this way our flower will be ready.
