When this question arises, "Who would you be ?", there is not any confusion in my mind, my mind is very clear.
I have never seen Mother Teresa in this life, but in my entire life, I have read and heard so much about her, so I just want to be like her.
Mother Teresa was a very great saint. At the age of just 18, she left her home and left to treat the ills , weak and the sick in this world.
No one could have imagined this at the age of 18.
She was born on October 7th, 1910 in Macedonia. Her mother was originally from an Albanian family.
At the age of 12, she heard God's call in her mind and she understood was to become a missionary, so she left her home at the age of 18 and entered in a community Loreto, an Irish community-based in India. to spread the love of Christ and Christianity.
From there, she got training for a few months in Dublin. After that, she came to India. On May 24, 1931, she took a pledge as a Nun.
After then Till 1948, she taught at St. Mary's High School, Kolkata, India, but he was not tempted to live within the walls of the convent.
sHe had seen poverty, helplessness, diseases, and suffering in the world outside the convent.
It was then that she broke all her bonds and started working in the slums of Kolkata.
she did not even have any money to do this work. She established an open-air school to teach children in slums, and soon she joined voluntary service organizations. Later, she started getting financial aid, and she started expanding the scope of her work.
To establish her great work, she decided to start The Missionaries of Charity. The main purpose of this organisation was to help those who could not help themselves,Nor was anyone ready to take care of them.
Mother Teresa and her colleague group made some shelter homes, nursing homes, and houses for orphans, leprosy persons, ills, and destitute in the area of Calcutta. Their group was involved to help these persons entire the world.
In 1965, this institution was granted the status of an international religious family institution by order of the Pop Pal
Her group, while doing relief work for refugees suffering from floods, epidemics, famines, and family disasters, later included Brother Hood with them, and they also helped the poorest of the poor in Asia, Africa, Australia, and Latin American countries.
Her organisation also established branches in North America, Europe, and Australia, from where it started taking care of alcoholics, homeless people, and AIDS victims.
Gradually, her work was appreciated all over the world, and by the year 1969, her organisation became an international organization.
By this institute in the 1990s, more than one million workers from more than 40 countries were added to this organization.
Mother Teresa has been awarded worldwide awards for her work, including the Pope John Paul Peace Prize, the Nehru Award for the Promotion of International Peace, and the Magsaysay Award.
She was also awarded the Padma Shri award by the Government of India in 1962 and the Bharat Ratna in 1980, which is India's highest award.
She is accepted as a goddess by some Hindus in the city of Kolkata, India. In addition to international awards, she was also recognized and appreciated by the governments of various countries for serving humanity, promoting peace and brotherhood.
she believed that there was nothing but emptiness and darkness in life, she begged God to forgive her.
Being a medical person I also helped the poor, handicapped, and destitute in my hospitals by making different facilities for them and providing them with some special programs.
She, along with her group throughout her life, helped the poor, thousands of sick people, and the destitute.
Therefore, I want to be like her and want to help the poor, sick, and destitute in this life and so far in the next life too.
