An international ice hockey team was to be selected. Many players had come to participate in the selection. One of them, I was also there,
My parents had made it very clear that they were against my taking part in this game. Still, I was determined to come.
Only seven people were to be selected for the team. Of these 7 players, one will be kept in reserve while the other 6 will play in the match. Our first match was against Ireland.
Irish players were considered very aggressive and fast.
The selectors made it clear that there is a lot of risk in this game. This game will be played on an ice field with skates.
The person playing it will have to be equipped with all the equipment used in this game.
Any player can get hurt by the stick of the opposing team, so one has to be careful in every situation.
The main task of the sport is to spread a vulcanized rubber disc, the puck, behind the goal line and into a net protected by a goalkeeper or goalkeeper.
With its speed and constant physical contact, ice hockey has become one of the most popular sports in international sports.
The selectors also told us that this sport is an Olympic sport, and there are over one million registered players who regularly perform in leagues around the world.
Selected players will have to work very hard in this game. Training will start after two days. All the rules of the game will be explained to you.
The selected player will also have to give an agreement in writing.
In this way, I was selected and became an ice hockey player.
