According to our old traditions, every person who came to the door step of our house was a form of God. And our parents used to follow this very strictly. But in today's modern times, the form of houses has changed. Now people live in multi-story buildings in which even the neighbour does not recognize his neighbour.
People living on different floors in the same building do not know each other. That's why now the definition of doorstep has changed a lot. In earlier times, the women of the house used to wake up early in the morning and after cleaning their entire house, they also cleaned their doorstep. And they believed that in a house where there is dirt at the door, there is a lack of money in that house.
But in course of time, all these notions have been destroyed, now anyway people live in groups and societies regularly arrange for the cleaning of their homes.
I do not want to say that it was right before or is it right now, but the warmth of human relations which was there in the olden days is not found now.
Now everyone is so much busy with their work that it has been a long time since anyone has seen the door of their friend's neighbour’s relative's house.
