Before I get into this one, I owe you a quick apology. I am still relearning how this whole posting thing works, and I went and put the first two up back to back instead of spreading them out like I should have. Rookie move.
Note to self, and to anyone else in the same boat, if you are using the Eccency app there is a little cog you can use to delay your posts. Lesson learned, we will pace things out from here.
Right, on to card number three, and this is a real change of direction for me.
So far I have gone pretty old school. Original Pokemon, artistic scenes, the pretty stuff. This one is different.
Not that it is not artistic, because it is, but it leans more pop art than pretty. And normally that would not be my thing at all. But something about the splashes of colour on this one keeps pulling me back.
The card is Ambipom, 107/094, an Illustration Rare from Phantasmal Flames, and the one I have my eye on is in NM/M condition.
Here is the part that surprised me on the collecting side. This one is about $4 for the English and about $4 for the Japanese, pretty much level. That is unusual in my experience, because the Japanese version is normally the lesser value of the two. So to see them sitting side by side like that is interesting in itself.
Funny how this hobby works. Two cards ago I was all about peaceful, tranquil scenes, and now here I am drawn to something loud and full of colour. I think that is what I am enjoying most about getting back into it. You do not always know what is going to grab you until it does.
Anyway, that is number three on the list. As always, if you spot one, you know where to find me. And this time I promise to give it a few days before the next one.
