"Girls!" Suddenly a familiar voice called out to them.
Turning, the girls saw a blond pal. He stretched his lips again in a charming smile. Marana waved to him.
"Can I join your rest?" Asked the pal, approaching two friends.
"You cannot rest on yourself?" smiled Marana.
"Well, without a society of girls and life is not the same."
The blond man sat down next to Marana.
"Archer," the blond man introduced himself.
"Marana."
"Siala."
"You girls have been friends for a long time?"
"No, we met in a gathering point." Answered Marana. "Where are your friends?"
"In fact, we also met there. Only they are warriors, and I’m magician. They joined some old warriors. They discuss the types of swords and how to hold a bow. I'm bored with that company."
"Are you a battle mage?" Siala specified.
"Well yes. I studied in the Imperial Magical Academy. But because of the war, they interrupted their studies."
Marana broke out:
"True? I wanted to study there so much, but I didn’t have time to do it before the war! Have you already received the Energy Amulet?"
"No, I haven’t had time to earn it."
"And what is this amulet?" Siala asked.
"You don’t know? Archer was surprised. "Amulet, which accumulates magical energy and expands the capabilities of its owner. Of course, this doesn’t make them High Mages, but still they have more magic energy than ordinary trained mages."
"High magicians?" Siala asked again.
"You don’t know anything about mages at all, but you are a mage yourself?"
Siala looked away, not knowing what to say.
"She didn’t develop the ability, but she has the talent. She knows little about the magic in details." Marana answered for her.
Blond nodded to her in gratitude.
"Well, in general, the High Mages are those who have absorbed enough magical energy to literally move the mountains by the power of thought or to control the consciousness of other people. In addition, they slow the cycle of aging of their body, so they live much longer. But there are almost none of them. You know what happens to those who absorb too much energy, and their body rejects so much magic? "
"Well, they die as I now."
"Of course they are dying. And the death is terrible, painful. Not everyone can become a high mage. Many are simply afraid to try to develop their abilities above the average. After all, if the body begins to reject magic, the consequences are irreversible. And in many cases a person dies in less than a day."
"I'd try," Marana said. "But without a mentor, I'm afraid to do it. They say that in the Imperial Academy they give an observer to those who dared to try to expand their possibilities without the amulet."
"You are risky, I see." grinned Archer. "My life is more expensive to me. I planned to earn the Amulet and stay at the Academy to be teacher. But we were obliged to go to defend the Empire.
