Hello everyone @throwbackthursday community, I'm @fab-tay and i welcome us all to yet another throwback thursday once again 🕺and it's always a delight to relieve the memories of great moments of the past. Also, i want to commend the administrator of this group @jesuslnrs and other team members for all their efforts week in, week out. This week, my throwback will be on the last Community Health Outreach i attended to commemorate the World Pharmacists Day Celebration.

Hola a todos, comunidad de @throwbackthursday. Soy @fab-tay y les doy la bienvenida a otro Jueves de Recuerdos. Siempre es un placer revivir los grandes momentos del pasado. También quiero felicitar al administrador de este grupo, @jesuslnrs, y a los demás miembros del equipo por su esfuerzo semana tras semana. Esta semana, mi recuerdo será sobre la última jornada de salud comunitaria a la que asistí para conmemorar el Día Mundial del Farmacéutico.

Sound/good health is one of the cardinals of a quality life/living and this can never be overemphasized. However, not everyone enjoyed the basic healthcare as should be for every citizens especially those living in the rural areas where the reach of the government isn't felt as it should be. As part of the program of events to commemorate the world pharmacists day, we the community pharmacists took it upon ourselves to extend the olive branch of healthcare to a rural area in my state of practice here in Nigeria even as we journeyed from the state capital down there.

La buena salud es fundamental para una vida de calidad, y esto es fundamental. Sin embargo, no todos disfrutaban de la atención médica básica que todos los ciudadanos deberían tener, especialmente quienes viven en zonas rurales, donde la influencia del gobierno no es la adecuada. Como parte del programa de eventos para conmemorar el Día Mundial del Farmacéutico, los farmacéuticos comunitarios nos propusimos extender la rama de olivo de la atención médica a una zona rural de mi estado, aquí en Nigeria, incluso durante nuestro viaje desde la capital.

The outreach involved we checking the vital signs like the blood pressure, blood sugar (glucose), body mass index (BMI) etc. Also, a free eye check was also organised and there was a health talk with a session on physical exercise. The turn out was massive and it was indeed a great joy to have impacted these people positively, giving back to the community and assisting the government for a good health coverage in the state. Health outreach has always been a part of me even as i look forward to more in the nearest time because: "Health is indeed wealth". Thanks for watching and reading my throwback for this week. La labor de divulgación incluyó la revisión de signos vitales como la presión arterial, la glucemia (glucosa), el índice de masa corporal (IMC), etc. Además, se organizó un examen de la vista gratuito y se ofreció una charla de salud con una sesión sobre ejercicio físico. La asistencia fue masiva y fue una gran alegría haber tenido un impacto positivo en estas personas, contribuyendo a la comunidad y ayudando al gobierno a lograr una buena cobertura de salud en el estado. La divulgación de salud siempre ha formado parte de mí, y espero con ansias que haya más próximamente porque: "La salud es riqueza". Gracias por ver y leer mi retrospectiva de esta semana.
