Why do we lie in the first place? Is it out of fear, or are we simply trying to protect something or someone? Hmm, we all lie for different reasons, and only when it hurts in the chest does it become a burden.
I personally would honestly lie to protect something and someone very dear to my heart. Sometimes in a relationship, you have to compromise and take one for the team, as you know at the moment that your partner may be unable to bear the hurt. After all, in a relationship, what goes around also comes around, and one day the partner would or might even be currently taking one hurt for you.
Being honest in a relationship is a virtue we all need to have, but I can make an honest lie in the moment to save the future because, at times, you just have to lose the battle to win the war. An honest lie is a form of compromising and we are all guilty of this in our relationships.
