The greatest of love letters are always coded for the one and not the many.

Hello sweet bees of Hive!

I love reading fiction stories but I'm not really good at writing one and since fiction stories are still hard for me to write let me just make a fiction love letter. I think this one will be a lot easier than stories.

Dear Someone,

It's been 1098 days since we last saw each other and I wonder if I will still see you again. Its been a year since we last talk with each other and I wonder if I still crosses your mind even once in a while. This pandemic is not that worst now unlike during its first year but still traveling is a bit hard. I still want to see you, I still want to run to your loving arms and stay there forever. I wonder if its still okay to do that.

Anyway, I remember when we first met at IGA, I really don't know what to feel that time, I was so nervous to meet you as if it was my first time going out on a date. Funny how last minute we have to change the venue where we are going to meet. Did I tell you how time slowed down the moment you look at me, you smiled and you wave your hand during that time and I don't know what happened next, everything was slow moving, and that it feels like every one around us disappear. My heart was beating so fast that time that I just want to look at you without you noticing me, luckily you walked down to the other side of the car to open the door for me so I got a chance to breathe and take a look at you again while you are walking. You made my heart flutter just with your smile.

We drove around town that whole afternoon because your plan to bring me to Margaret river failed because of my schedule so we just went to Fremantle, I still remember what we ate that afternoon, we both had black coffee, strawberry cheesecake for me while you had dark chocolate oatmeal cookies. After we ate, we walked around the port holding hands as if we are telling the whole world that this person beside me is mine. We laugh the whole time we are together, telling each other silly jokes and stories. If only I do not have work that late afternoon. You drove me to work before you went home. Do you know what flatters me the most? It's the thought that you drove 2 hours from your home just to see me for a couple of hours, you even worry about how I'm going home after my work knowing that I'm doing that every day. You don't speak much but your actions are more talkative than your mouth. That's what I like about you.

You always surprised me with your actions. The most I can't forget was the one when you worry about how I will go home because the train and the bus are only until 9:00 pm and my work ends at 9:30 pm. You even checked the bus and train schedule and message it to me, how you try to find another route for me to get home. How you insist on booking me an uber just for me to get home quickly. The way you monitor me on my way home, how you entertain me while I travel alone. How you stay up late just to talk to me while I'm waiting for the bus to arrive made me feel that you are with me during that time. Those simple gestures and actions that you do make me like you more.

I miss those morning and late-night talks that we had. I miss the sandwiches that you made for me, nope not only the sandwiches but the meal that you cooked for me. I miss those long drives that we had every weekend, the way we chase the sunsets in Bunbury and in Busselton Jetty. I miss giving you surprise visits at your workshop but most importantly I miss holding your hands and you beside me.

How I wish I can fly back to you, how I wish there is no such thing as this pandemic. I just want to be with you, that's all I want right now. Always do take care of yourself and I really wish to see you again soon.

Love,

Sticky Memo
