Despite it is still winter, there i quite a lot happening on my balcony. The plants are waking up and start to grow. Some were slowly developing over the past few weeks and now showing their buds.

Here is what's gonna bloom very, very soon.

  • Onionweed - it is actually a terrible week growing wild. But I like the plant and flowers so much that I took some that were growing by the road and planted it in a pot. The leaves look like tall and thin crass and flowers are just adorable, white stars. Weeds rock!

  • Eheveria Agavoides - poor thing was battling terrible mealybug attack last fall. I had to remove all the soil from the roots, wash it all with soap, spray with alcohol, rinse again and dry. Then it got fresh pot and soil. It was looking miserable for a long time, but it pulled it though and now growing three flower stems like this one:

  • Kalanchoe - My least favourite one because of it's growth habit. It didn't bloom last year. I am curious to see them then.

  • Freesia - This is a big yay! I am looking forward to those flowers every season :) The smell is amazing! I have few colours, but I can almost bet this will be red one. They are always first.
