secretely took the candy out of the wraping, eating it and leaving the package empty dangling in the tree.

Hahaha me my sis were doing the same thing! We knew what we hang on the tree and what we will eat later. Sometimes we'd put a ball of paper inside so it looks real :D

It is also Polish tradition to decorate the tree on the 24th. Many families do it earlier though..
