Not all the birds views are from up high.
Look at the city pigeons. Most the day they spend on the trough looking at human legs.
There is a big statue in the very center of Lisbon. Right at the bay on the biggest square. If you ever been here you know which one I mean.
One summer day I was waiting there to meet with friends... as they were a bit late I sat down on the stairs and did what I do best - observe.
And not only humans, but also pigeons.... what a smart beasties they are! They will wait pretending to be sleeping but as soon one raises food alarm they all jump and know exactly where to go.
The time was passing by slow... so I too my old camera and started to experiment with those low angle shots. This machine doesn't have those twisty little screen so I could see what I am shooting, and I would not lay down on the floor to look though the viewer.. there was only one option - shoot and hope for the best.
I basically put the camera on the ground trying to aim the birds and just took some photos. Some were very bad, but some came out pretty cool me thinks :)
