Wonderfoully aged plant!
Some plants look just amazing when they reach that stage. And this one is probably one of my favourite. The fruits inside is so bright and shiny. Trapped in a delicate, orange cage

Physalis is also called Cape gooseberry and we always had it in the garden. But it was only used for decoration. The orange form (is that seed pod?) dries very well and looks lovely in winter bouquets. The flowers are not so attractive. Rather small and pale.
Lately I leaned that the small berry inside is actually edible.
