A river gives beauty to any city. Ideally, these are several small rivers. In Vologda, this is the only one. Sodima and Shogrash are too small rivers and secretive to talk about them, but even such small rivers have beautiful places in the city.
Vologda is a river in Russia in the Vologda region, the right tributary of the Sukhona River (the Northern Dvina basin). Length - 155 km, catchment area - 3030 km². Vologda originates in a wooded area northwest of the city of Vologda. The course in the upper reaches is quite fast, the course is winding. The general direction of the river flow is east. In the northwestern suburbs of Vologda, the river receives its largest tributary the Toshna river.
After the city, the river overlooks a vast swampy lowland. The current practically disappears. Vologda flows into Sukhona a few hundred meters above the mouth of Lezha. Two kilometers to the mouth of Vologda, a lateral duct, called Outskirt Sukhona, connecting Vologda and Lezha, departs.
Vologda is navigable from the confluence of Toshna.
