The goat bridge in Ustyuzhna is located in the historical part of the city, laid over the river Vorozha.
The entrances to the bridge are designed as a horseshoe-shaped arch with a bell containing a lamp.
I'm sure it's much prettier here in the summer!
The bridge leads from the square to the Church of the Annunciation.
The churches in Ustyuzhna are all baroque, with my favorite conical bell towers.
The town is small, you can't get around much, but it's enough to enjoy.
Ustyuzhna is located on the border with the Tver region.
When they were just laying railroads through merchant cities, local merchants refused and the railroad passed by.
The city stands a little away from the federal highway.
There is no natural gas in the settlement - this is a giant minus.
Residents have to heat their houses with wood, while apartment buildings are heated by boiler houses.
Boilers, in turn, are heated with coal or fuel oil.
The only and cynical plus for me is that the smoke from the chimneys in the frosty winter in the photographs will be great!
