I once had a series of posts with a similar title, where I put the word light in the first place. But, I believe that it would be correct to designate darkness first.
I first started shooting such street scenes in the fall, where the key condition was to plunge into darkness and look for light from there.
In simple words, it is best to shoot contrasting street moments from the shadow.
Now there is such a wave and a state of weather when I want to shoot ordinary everyday life using spots, lines, geometry and color.
And that requires sunny weather. Simply necessary!
Winter this year was not so frosty, and, accordingly, very cloudy.
Therefore, now when a cloudy day is issued, I don’t even want to pick up the camera.
It's strange, when writing a post, I mentally returned to the fall of 2020, that is, when I just started paying attention to such stories.
Right now I feel connected to this wave.
Here's how it works: at first, with the memories of that autumn, I felt somehow uncomfortable, for some reason even ashamed, but a little later, when I plunged headlong into that atmosphere, I felt warm and pleasant again.
And again I wanted to go there, to repeat that state of mind.
And these moments in life should be created as much as possible!
So that it pierce into the memory so that you want to return to them.
I have lived this way since 2000. Or maybe even earlier.
I live - it means I create key points on the map of memories.
Photography in this regard has become so strongly integrated into my consciousness that it has become an integral part of it.
And if this connection is destroyed, it means destroying the me that has been formed over many years.
If I'll blocked access forever to any photographic equipment, then until the end of my days I will be tormented by dreams about how I photograph.
But then I will absolutely begin to draw...
Or writing music...I have some ability in that too.
Simply, I will try to write down somewhere the code of my life, my impressions, experiences and sensations.
To be continued...
