Many photographers, especially landscape painters, have heard of such a concept as "golden hour" and "blue hour". With the first it is clear - this is the time of sunset or dawn. But the second concept means that the sun has long since sat down beyond the horizon and twilight has come, but it has not completely darkened yet. The sky acquires a dense and rich shade of blue, and in general everything is colored in cyan and blue.
Catch this moment is not difficult, but you need to keep up, as this time interval lasts for half an hour. Especially in winter and in cloudy weather, the sky quickly turns into not very pleasant orange tones (depending on street lighting in your city).
My favorite moment is when the "blue hour" is in full swing, but the lights have not yet been turned on!
Necessarily you need in the frame some kind of opposite color. The yellow light from the windows just fits.
The headlight of the car, if it is yellowish, will also look good.
I also make a correction for the exposure -2...- 3 Ev, to strengthen the density of blue and at the same time to avoid over-exposure from light sources.
Do not wait for good light or weather - learn to use the available!
