Greetings dear readers, today I give life and love to my blog 馃挅 by participating in galenkp@galenkp's weekly proposal where I chose the first question that brought back disastrous memories, inviting me to continue making new possibilities visible.

THE BAD

Have you ever had a bad job? if so, tell us. Why it was bad and what positive things you learned from doing it. Write a 300 word post that answers the question.

Yes, indeed I have had bad jobs, but it has not been due to my work dynamics where I have always been consistent, responsible and proactive in favor of the well-being with whom, and for whom I work, my great inconvenience has been with people who have abused their power and the reason for those bad experiences has been to be efficient by giving more than I could.

Starting my career as a teacher of plastic arts was not easy, the bureaucracy to enter the educational system was a mess, you had to compete to apply for a position in a public institution, having made substitutions that generally did not pay, with the excuse that because we are new to the educational system, experience should be gained, and in private schools we were kept under deceit waiting for a pay that in many cases did not arrive until the teacher got tired and resigned.

I got all this information from my university classmates who were already trying the honeys of the effort of work as a teacher, some with disappointment and frustration expressed it and I did not want to see myself in that situation. Since I had already been working in the sports area just after leaving the University, I continued working as an aerobics and dance therapy instructor, I did workshops on body expression, traditional and nationalist dance.

My first bad work experience: Envy

Through one of my brothers at the moment, I started working in a currier company where they trained me in customer service because I knew how to behave in public, which seemed boring to me, but with that and my additional work I supported my personal expenses. and I helped at home, always having the vision of leaving and being able to pursue my career in a dignified manner.

Introducing documents in state institutions I managed to enter a government entity that had a program called the children's house, where they offered: recreational, artistic and pedagogical reinforcement activities. There they offered the position as a dance facilitator because it was available, and since I wanted to have experience with children, I took it on. I liked my work and more because the same institution financed us field work to investigate the traditional Venezuelan manifestations and thus offer effective information in our work.

In principle everything was excellent until I began to feel on the part of the director of the recreation center who was also a dancer, dissenting attitudes, for each choreography and costumes that I designed she had an objection, and she had a constant follow-up regarding my planning and schedule, apart from the possibility of agreeing time to continue fourth level studies.

Seeing myself in that uncomfortable situation one day with all my impetus I went to the main office raising my study situation, and permission was granted, when I arrived with the correspondence at the workplace from there his attitude was increasingly hostile . Tired of her attitude, I notified her that I would request a change to another children's home, expressing what I perceived of her towards me. She agreed with a supposed sadness, because according to her she did not want to lose a valuable resource.

A few days later I received a call from a friend who informed me that the director was influencing her so that they would not grant me the transfer, so one day I did not go to the work center and resigned from the main office.

Moral: Nobody interrupts my dreams and desire to progress

My second bad work experience: deplorable salary, greed and exploitation

Later I found a job in an Association of Catholic schools where unfortunately I was short-lived due to difficult access and low pay, but the experience was nutritious and full of significant learning that I am still grateful for today. From this same association I had contacts to work at the university level closer to my home, which was another enriching experience, but at such a low salary that it led me to resign.

It was there that I met a colleague, the director of two preschools, one private and the other public, who offered to help me enter my documents into the system, but on the condition that when I received my first salary I gave her a fee, it really seemed to me an audacity to which I did not agree, however I negotiated with her to give classes in body expression for children twice a week in the private preschool, the other days in the public preschool and in both only half a day until I receive my tenure.

Seeing the interest of the representatives in my classes in the private preschool, she demanded that I teach classes in the afternoons, and my answer was immediately negative, so she resorted to blackmail, telling me that I should support her because otherwise the movement of my documents within the ministry would not would proceed. After that threat, I cautiously went to talk to the owner of the private preschool who was very happy with my contribution and wanted to hire me so that I would stay working with her and her daughter, but it really was not my expectation, apart from the shadow of the director who wanted me. explode, so I decided to express what I felt and what I suspected about the colleague.

The owner of the private preschool was surprised because she believed that I was receiving a contribution for the work as a culture teacher since it was the agreement with the director. In view of such embarrassment, she canceled my services, telling me that what I confessed to her was one more clue to corroborate what she suspected, and that other things would soon be revealed about that lady regarding the public preschool that surprisingly had its functions terminated and even passed. to investigations, and I obtained my position as head a few days later.

Moral: we are not all alligators from the same well, and even though the Wolf is dressed as a sheep, we can recognize him by his legs and breath

My third bad work experience: demotivation and school overcrowding

I stayed three years working in the preschool but I already felt tired working daily with 8 preschool sessions, the institution being very far from my house, so as necessary I went to the pertinent instances I raised my case and immediately my transfer proceeded with great regret from the new director who didn't want me to leave. It was when I entered a school located in a more central area for me, but with an extra limiting enrollment with which I worked for 5 years in charge of 12 sessions between preschool and primary school with approximately 450 students daily.

There were several culture and sports specialists who assumed their work with disdain. When it was time to do team activities it was difficult to reach agreements due to political visions and beliefs, so I ended up trying to specify ideas by directing and assuming functions to achieve the objectives. leaving the school high, but leaving me very exhausted and dissatisfied. In that space, I managed to have the art workshop I dreamed of with the help of representatives and workers, carry out as many activities of plastic and corporal expression as I wish, under the good gaze of the management, worker and administrative staff.

But for some culture specialists I was the blocking stone who, through gossip and expressions of impoliteness, did the heaviest work. However, I complied fully out of affection for what I did with the children, until, to protect my health and well-being, I decided again to request a transfer to an institution closer to my home that had a minimum enrollment where my work was valued and seen with respect.

Currently in this job I live in a space in which I give the best of myself every day, where I can say that harmony is sought among the work team, however, the current economic situation for the teacher and the indisposition of many representatives make our I work a pantomime that is detrimental to our morality.

Such a situation makes me turn my face towards other horizons with the intention of giving up. For me it is a great duality to say that it is a bad job that I have, because, just as I have had bad times, many more have been the satisfactory ones that have motivated me to continue contributing to this beautiful but badly loved "teaching" profession.

Moral: Do things for love, avoid assuming responsibilities that do not correspond to me, be up front, say NO without blame and set limits
