My friends came to stay the night with my darling god daughter and it was so great to spend time with them again.
I of course had to make them pizza because they so graciously gifted us with the Ooni pizza oven earlier this summer. The pressure was ON for me to make great pizza since I’ve had ample time to rehearse. I fucked up one pizza because it got stuck on the pizza peel, but I had extras just for that reason. The three succesful pizzas seemed to disappear pretty quickly so I think I get to keep my oven, as long as I make sure to make them pizza every time they visit.
We’ve been having a great time just watching the toddler doing stuff and babbling, eating and drinking yummy stuff, and spending time walking outside and petting the dog. Other than the pizza shot, I did not pick up my camera, not even the phone one at all, that’s the sign the here and now was the most important. Well, I did help my god daughter play with an old cheap camera, she’ll be a pro in no time if she wants to!
Entertaining is always a bit stressful for me and us, most of the time we are just home alone as a couple and like it like that, but it feels good to have some friends or family over every now and then.
It’s a crazy hot weekend so now that I’m free again, I’m just gonna quickly tidy up and then sunbathe a bit with another Aperol Spritz.
