I've had this idea for a while already that I'd do an inventory into my whole wardrobe in sections and document myself trying it all on. Kinda like Clueless inspired video diary into my own wardrobe that is quite substantial, never enough shoes or clothes for me though. And no, I'm not gonna become a fashion blogger, but fashion and personal style are very near and dear to my heart so I like to show that side of me every once in a while.
I've shot a few stop motion style videos, with one song on the background and that's it, but today I challenged myself to at least try and do a video and edit it too with a few different (copyright-free) songs.
This was by far the most frustrating thing creatively I have ever done. Jesus fucking christ almighty. NEVER AGAIN! And this was super simple too, camera stationary all throughout. I have no idea how videographers and film editors stay sane, I could never.
Editing a video was a huge learning experience, and not something I am looking forwards to doing ever again, unless I really really have to. Sure I can shoot some random clips here and there, and send it all to someone else to be edited together, but other than that, I'll stick to photography please and thank youuu.
I know the video ain't shit and I could easily improve by ten fold in every aspect of it from the set, to light, focus, song choices, editing, painting my toenails and taking half my shoes to the cobbler and cleaning them all. But I'm over the video stuff, it does not excite me like photography does. I don't even wanna talk about it in the comments, but what I am willing to and will gladly discuss is shoes.
I really like shoes if you couldn't tell by how many I have, and by the fact that my shoe closet is never full and there is a long list of new pairs I want to add and replace old ones. Like where are all my biker and cowboy style boots?! And what about rain boots? And and and sandals and loafers. Flip flops I can skip, zero interest. Uhh, I do need a brand spanking new pair of white sneakers, that's a must for every summer.
