Doing some homework in the form of food photography. The first exercise is to shoot photos for an imaginary artisan bakery. I’m trying to remember to take behind-the-scenes snapshots every time I shoot something now, especially if I’m using unnatural light.
I made a big ol’ mess here because I played with flour; I blew on it, threw it and spread it out all over the surface. Food photography is all about faking it so I created a steamy effect with a clothing steamer. I must admit I didn’t bake this bread myself, I was going to but I felt like shooting today and the more or less pretty bread would have been ready tomorrow. I might add more photos to the set the next time I actually bake.
I’ll show you the actual photos tomorrow.
