Éster siempre fue una niña alegre y llena de vida, pero un extraño accidente borró su sonrisa cuando perdió a toda su familia. Fueron momentos muy duros para una niña de solo 12 años de edad y sin embargo junto a sus tíos maternos ha podido seguir adelante aunque jamás volvió a ser la niña alegre que un día fué.
Los tíos de Ester se han encargado de brindarle un hogar lleno de amor pero el vacío que dejaron sus padres saben que jamás podrá ser llenado. La niña está dedicada al colegio y a sus clases de ballet, aunque últimamente no ha querido bailar, hay días en que Ester sueña con sus padres jugando bajo un gran árbol, y desea que ese sueño pudiera ser realidad.
La vida ha sido algo dura con ella y en ocasiones siente que no puede mas, y quisiera renunciar a todo. Sus tíos angustiados por la depresión que afecta a la niña deciden llevarla a un día de campo, piensan que el aire puro puede hacerle bien y quizás recupere sus ganas de vivir. El día anterior Ester había vuelto a soñar con sus padres bajo aquel gran árbol que ella aún no conocía pero dónde se sentía en casa.
Llegó el día del viaje y la niña aunque sin ganas cumplió los deseos de sus tíos y asistió a este lugar. Pero cuál sería su sorpresa al ver que ese hermoso lugar se veía como un sus sueños. De inmediato la niña exclama: ¡Es realmente hermoso! A lo que la tía le responde: ¡ A tu madre le encantaba este lugar, solíamos venir de niñas y nos divertíamos mucho. Tu quizás no lo recuerdes pero ella te trajo aquí hace muchos años atrás.
Ester responde: ¡Si lo recuerdo, yo ya he estado aquí justo bajo aquel árbol y emprende su camino hasta llegar bajo un gran árbol frondoso. La tía se queda asombrada pues eso tiene mucho tiempo y Ester era solo una niña de dos años, como podría recordar ese momento. Pasaba el tiempo y la niña no quería moverse de aquel árbol donde sentía la presencia de sus padres.
Después del almuerzo Ester se ha quedado dormida al pie del árbol y de inmediato empieza a soñar que el árbol le habla: ¡Querida Ester, te he estado esperando! Ahora puedes pedir tu deseo? La niña asombrada exclama: ¿Un deseo? Y sin pensarlo dice: ¿Quiero a mis padres de vuelta? Querida Ester no puedo ir contra los designios de Dios pero puedo llevarte con ellos si eso deseás.
La niña algo confundida dice: ¡llevarme con ellos! ¿y dónde están? Tus padres están en tu corazón, ellos están siempre a tu lado y jamás te han abandonado. Búscalos cada día en tus pensamientos y en tus recuerdos y allí los encontrarás. Ester comienza a llorar, no puedo vivir sin ellos, me siento sola. En ese momento los padres de Ester aparecen justo ante ella y es tanta la emoción de la niña que solo los abraza, mientras trascurre el tiempo.
Ester comienza a llorar y pide que no la vuelvan a abandonar, la mamá de Ester le dice que este es su lugar favorito pues este árbol es mágico y suele cumplir tus deseos. Ester insiste en que quiere irse con ellos, a lo que le responden: Tu debes vivir tu vida, se feliz y cuando quieras hablar conmigo solo ven aquí, yo te esperaré pacientemente.
Ester despierta feliz después de un hermoso sueño y pide al árbol que le dé fortaleza para seguir adelante y cumplir sus sueños pues desea algún día estar con sus padres. Y corre abrazar a su tía mientras le cuenta su mágico sueño, la tía de Ester le dice que ella también sueña cosas hermosas bajo este árbol, por eso suele venir aquí. Sabía que te haría bien este lugar querida sobrina.
Ester ha decidido continuar adelante y aunque aún extraña a sus padres sabe que puede venir cuando quiera a este árbol encantado dónde podrá conversar con sus padres y conseguir las fuerzas que necesita para continuar adelante.

The girl is dedicated to school and her ballet classes, although lately she has not wanted to dance, there are days when Ester dreams of her parents playing under a big tree, and wishes that dream could come true.
Life has been a little hard on her and sometimes she feels she can't take it anymore, and would like to give it all up. Her aunt and uncle, distressed by the depression affecting the girl, decide to take her to a picnic, they think that the fresh air might do her good and maybe she will regain her will to live. The day before Ester had dreamed again of her parents under that big tree that she did not know yet but where she felt at home.
The day of the trip arrived and the girl, although she did not feel like it, fulfilled her aunt and uncle's wishes and went to this place. But what would be her surprise to see that this beautiful place looked like one of her dreams. Immediately the girl exclaims: It's really beautiful! To which the aunt replies: "Your mother used to love this place, we used to come here when we were kids and we had so much fun. You may not remember but she brought you here many years ago.
Esther replies: "Yes, I remember, I have already been here, right under that tree," and she starts walking until she reaches a large leafy tree. The aunt was astonished because that was a long time ago and Ester was only a two year old girl, how could she remember that moment. Time passed and the girl did not want to move from that tree where she felt the presence of her parents.
After lunch Ester fell asleep at the foot of the tree and immediately began to dream that the tree was talking to her: Dear Ester, I have been waiting for you! Now you can make your wish? The astonished girl exclaims: A wish? And without thinking she says: I want my parents back? Dear Esther, I cannot go against God's will, but I can take you back to them if you wish.
The little girl, somewhat confused, says: "Take me back to them! And where are they? Your parents are in your heart, they are always by your side and have never abandoned you. Look for them every day in your thoughts and memories and you will find them there. Ester begins to cry, I can't live without them, I feel alone. At that moment Ester's parents appear right in front of her and the girl's emotion is so great that she just hugs them, while time goes by.
Ester begins to cry and asks not to be abandoned again, Ester's mother tells her that this is her favorite place because this tree is magical and usually fulfills your wishes. Ester insists that she wants to go with them, to which they reply: You should live your life, be happy and when you want to talk to me just come here, I will wait for you patiently.
Ester wakes up happy after a beautiful dream and asks the tree to give her strength to go ahead and fulfill her dreams because she wants to be with her parents someday. And she runs to hug her aunt while telling her about her magical dream, Ester's aunt tells her that she also dreams beautiful things under this tree, that's why she usually comes here. Ester has decided to move on and although she still misses her parents she knows that she can come whenever she wants to this magical tree where she can talk to her parents and get the strength she needs to move on.
