I fall to the floor and try crawling to the door. I yank it open and run. I fall down and crawl to the door. I yank it open and run down the hall. I put my hand to the door handle and glance back over my shoulder. The whole ground has been covered in flies. I try unlocking the door, but I can't find my keys. I turn and dart down the hall to the stairs, just to be sure, but they're all in my face as well. I can't see an inch of the walls without them swarming me. I have to get out of this place. I dart up the stairs, step on the first step, and fall face first. So that's how I end up knocking myself out.
I wake up in my room. I feel a little numb. I glance at the mirror and see a lot of flies. I see my face is all swelled up. I glance at the other side and see my eyes are swollen shut.
I rush to the bathroom and turn on the shower. I take off my clothes, but there are always flies on me. I soap up and get out and towel off, but there are always flies on the towel. I grab a new towel, but the flies are on it before I realize it. I put on my clean clothes and race to the window to close the drapes. I pull them all shut, but they refuse to close all the way. There's a hole through the screen just big enough for a fly to get through. I can't use tape or a staple or anything, because there's always a fly on the tape or a staple. I quickly throw the drapes aside, wanting to miss less flies, but the force knocks a hole into the screen big enough for a fly to slip through.
I race out the door to Frank's house and knock on the door, but there's a fly on my hand. If I move, it flies away. I don't want to be bothered, so I wait patiently for someone to answer the door. I look up at the sky and see birds flying by. They see me too, and all of a sudden there's a whole feast of flies outside. They buzz by my face, in my hair, over my mouth, landing on me again and again. I keep my eyes on the birds and they fly away. The whole sky is filled with birds. The birds leave. The flies go away. The birds return.
I open the door to Frank's house and hop in, only to run right over a fly. I wrap up in Frank's blankets, but I'm too warm for them. I have to sit up to sleep. I feel flies on my legs. I feel flies on my head. I have to get out of this room so I can close the door. I move to hit the alarm, but I can't find the light switch. I push my face into the blanket and can feel more flies. I yank it down, but it flies away.
I wake up, and there are flies in my room and on my face and hair. I can't get out of here. I try to unlock the door, but I can't find the keys. I turn and dart down the hall to rush up the stairs, but there are more flies. I run into the bathroom to get away from them. I pull down the drapes, but there are holes. I rip up the drapes, but I just rip the screen. I pull the shower curtain, but there are flies in it. I pull the toilet cover, but it flies away. I kick the toilet and pull the shower stall, but I just get more flies. I try to turn on the shower, but I can't find the faucet. I throw open the cupboard door, only to get a fly to buzz in my face. I grab it, but it flies away. I can never get rid of the flies.
I stay in the bathroom until I get another idea. I pull my door toward me and pull the pillow off the headboard and stuff it onto the door. I can see a note on the pillowcase that says "Please don't open door. Thank you."
I look out of the window and see a notice on the door. It says "Fly Stop Window. Steps Only." It's got directions. I walk down the stairs and look up and see the flag flying with a sad fly on it.
I run down to the door, but the stairs are covered in flies. I'm so tired and so dirty and so desperate. I run down the stairs as fast as I can, not stopping for anything. The flies buzz around me. I jump onto the street.
The blue-and-red flashing lights blur by. The deep, crashy siren sounds painful. I stop and listen, and I understand nothing. I turn to run away, but the street is full of cops and flies. I run into the alley. There is a swarm of flies. I try to jump into the dumpsters, but there are flies in the dumpsters. I try to jump in the garbage, but there are flies in the garbage.
I try to jump onto the powerlines, but there are flies in the powerlines. There are more flies on top of the powerlines. All I can think of is the flies. How I'm going to have to deal with them. How they're going to eat my eyes out. How I'm going to have to deal with them. I'm trapped. I can't get the flies away. I can't stop them from landing on me. I can't get them off of me. I beat myself on the head, but it's no use. I try to crawl, but the flies are in my way. I have to take down the flies. I start smashing my head against the floor. I keep going until my head falls off.
