Let me introduce you to a soldier fly from the family "Stratiomyidae". This particular fly has a very unique appearance and at first glance looks very much like a wasp, but try looking at this insect from a closer distance, and every one of its unique features will certainly become visible. Generally, this fly has black as its main color, but from a very close distance we can see metallic blue-green patterns on some parts of its body and wings when exposed to light. It also has large compound eyes that look very striking with a shimmering color pattern, and this is also one of the characteristics of flies.
What makes this fly look slightly different from other flies in general is that it has longer antennae that are deep black in color, its body shape is also longer, and at first glance it really looks very similar to a wasp.
The presence of this particular fly is also not a threat to humans, it is not a pest that can cause harm to many people; on the contrary, this fly has many important roles for the environment as well as the agricultural and livestock industries.
I myself managed to find this particular fly in front of my house, exactly on a mango tree. This particular fly is very fast, it even immediately flies away before we can try to approach it, and I have also experienced several failures when trying to capture the beauty of this particular insect, it is very difficult.
Fortunately, the fly I found was not too wild, so I could easily approach it. Of course, this was a golden opportunity for me to capture the beauty of this insect, its size is very small, so photographing it using a macro lens was a very appropriate choice. The results I got were very satisfying, and every detail of this particular fly could be seen quite clearly.
What is even more amazing is that I managed to photograph this particular fly from a very close distance. However, unfortunately, the weather at that time was slightly cloudy, so I did not get enough light when photographing it. Some of the pictures indeed looked less than perfect, but these are still the results of an effort that I should appreciate.
