When I started to be interested in the care of plants I was watching many videos about them, as an aunt brought some cactus I researched about them and I came to the world of succulents. I saw a lot of plants of this type, which are fleshy and have the ability to store water for these characteristics the ole vera or aloe vera also belongs to the succulent family. I discovered that they have very varied forms and I was delighted to see how some succulents are able to reproduce from a petal, it seemed to me something very interesting and beautiful to experience.

I longed to experience how to reproduce a succulent from a leaf and I let some people know about it, until one day they gave me a leaf and I could experiment!

I couldn't tell you for sure what kind of succulent it is, doing a google search on lenses several options appear but I think it is an Echeveria. I looked for videos on how to reproduce succulents from a leaf, I read about how to do it and then I placed the leaf on the substrate, it is that easy or at least it is supposed to be that way, the leaf will start to dry and a small succulent plant will be born.

15 Nov 2021 - 17 NOv 2021

About a week after placing the succulent leaf in the substrate, without water, it began to sprout.

19 Nov 2021 - 20 Nov 2021

This sprout was evolving a little more, I did not put water on it because according to what I researched the sprout feeds while the leaf is drying out.

21 Nov 2021 - 25 Nov 2021

The increase in size of the petals was evident over the next few days and it was noticeable that the leaf had some brown areas.

The succulent sprout continued its development, however I noticed that it was beginning to deflate so I decided to put some water to the roots, this helped it to take a little life. The watering was not done daily.

| And then when did the succulent leaf dry?

Para mi sorpresa pasaron meses...
Months after...

| What should I do now?

At this point I keep watering the beautiful little plant daily, at this point, I don't know what I should do if I should take off the top part and place it in another pot so that it can sprout roots, is that the most appropriate thing to do, or let it continue growing until it gets bigger. For the time being, I will continue with watering and observation, if you have any advice on this it would be excellent if you let me know in the comments.
