Living abroad often causes longing for Indonesian food. Because it's hard to find here. Only during holidays and going out, I can enjoy Indonesian food and snacks. To treat homesickness. However, there are several Indonesian foods that are also available in Taiwan as local food, one of which is martabak. The flavors and variants are also the same, only the shape is different.
In Indonesia, martabak is big round, but not with martabak in Taiwan. Here the shape is a small round, the price is also cheap. One small martabak costs NT$ 15. Once I bought it, I chose several variants to enjoy. Very suitable to be enjoyed while relaxing, while accompanied by a cup of tea in the afternoon.
Let's get acquainted with mini martabak!
I bought it at a seller in the market near my house. I gave 3 variants of flavors, namely: Red bean flavor, Taro and cream. I purposely bought a few variants to explore the flavors. Because usually I only buy red bean flavor, which is my favorite.
The taste of this mini martabak is exactly the same as Indonesian martabak in general. But the topping is not too sweet, according to my taste which is starting to avoid sugar. Taiwan has a variety of culinary delights, which are worth a try. Local people, famous for being creative and varied in serving some snacks. There are various flavors served: red bean, cholate, cheese, cream, and taro. The seller is very kind and friendly, I often buy here.
In this cold atmosphere, I enjoy with a cup of green tea, which I have been doing every day. Almost the majority of Taiwanese enjoy tea every day. Because this drink is believed to contain oxidants and collagen which are good for the health of the body to keep it tight and supple. I hope so too :) LOL
Mini Martabak is very suitable for culinary in the afternoon. The price is also relatively cheap, with IDR 16,000 you can enjoy relaxing and full. Happiness does not have to enjoy luxurious food, but how we enjoy the food and be grateful for what we get at every moment. So that our lives can be calm. Happiness is our personal responsibility to determine it.
That's all for my #Foodies post, thanks for stopping and reading. I am very happy to be able to share my yummy food, photography, and my life as an Indonesian in Taiwan. See you in the next post. May we all always be given health and prosperity always.
