Hello ladies
Happy new week, it's exciting to be participating in the new weeks prompt that asks
If you could pick a favorite "happy place," where would that be
You could tell what my happy place is from my title but before I dive into more details about why I chose my home I would love to invite @didiee and
@goodysam to answer any of the weeks prompt
Before I got married, I dreaded being at home. I looked for every means possible to just leave the house, I just didn't understand why being at home made me so restless, maybe it's the chores I still can't say.
Well I got married and my sister made a statement she said
Now you are going to your husband's house, better understand there is nowhere to run to again. Better learn to stay at home
We laughed about it because she always called me restless, every time I want to leave the house or she calls me itchy feet.
But surprisingly that is not the case anymore, I can't even remember all my days of wanting to leave the house to God knows where, Because there is no place I will rather be right now than my home.

So yes HOME IS MY FAVORITE PLACE.
My home is my haven right now, I dread going out these days especially in my country because of the insecurity and so many factors even stepping out of the house is a big risk at the moment. Thank my partner for ensuring our house is in a strategic location and well secured, though I cannot guarantee 100% security for the fact that it is located in Nigeria there is a level of heartfelt security and I won't trade it for anything less not in this country.
That's why I am a serious advocate for remote jobs, I rather work and earn from home than risk the daily struggle and hassle to get to work and back.
My home is filled with a pleasant smell of lavender, sometimes I can almost imagine being in a beautiful garden, meditating because of how pleasant my home smell. I try to get different candles and air fresheners depending on the mood and just waking up to a nice smell gives a refreshing start to my day.
My home has one amazing place which is my kitchen where I can make tasty meals as I please, experiment, fail, and try again. Being in the kitchen most times can be therapeutic. You may be wondering why would anyone enjoy being in the kitchen, well it's not weird at all for a stay home mum, I find myself there most times of the day and the best I can do is enjoy it completely and I do.

I appreciated my kitchen more when I was away from home for a few days, it wasn't easy to navigate my way in my mother's kitchen because it just wasn't my space.
Do you get that feeling?
In my kitchen, I know where everything is kept, how they are kept, what is available, and what is not. It feels good to be back home though.
Home is where I find my favorite people, my husband, and my son. The joy I feel when I watch them together in their elements when they are home can't be explained with words
Maybe if you can see me writing this you would understand 🥰. They are my world and the times we spend at home together are happy times.
They like themselves a little too much
And finally my Bed, as a new mum I do not get so much sleep but the few hrs or minutes I get to lay my head are like the best moments of my day, and there is nothing like sleeping on your well-laid clean cotton sheets with a fluffy pillow and knowing nothing can hurt you as you lay down to rest. I get most of my hive inspiration on my bed, business ideas, and just random smart stuff I need to do.
All-day everyday day when I am out I look forward to being back home, it's funny how growing up I was the child that rather stays out than be home.
Now there is no place I will rather be than my home.
