I remember my days in the university, how I was tagged heartless, not because I was wicked, but the fact that with so many advances thrown at me, I just never bulge.
Gifts, money, food I got it all from admirers but I guess I was too focused on my studies. I finally got a boyfriend but sincerely I did it because of peer pressure, I was so tired of hearing people talk to me about dating and a having relationship maybe I was stubborn about it because I promised myself never to date any student from my school.

I never understood what love was about, I pity my first boyfriend because I frustrated him a lot, I did things like I wasn’t in a relationship didn’t care about how he was feeling or doing, we see when we see and talk when we talk and that was it for me.
It was a disaster, deep down I knew it wasn’t love but didn’t care so much but I saw how much it hurt him so I decided to end that relationship and hopefully try again.
It was so hard to find genuine love around me, I just had a really big and unique taste Because the kind of people around me was something else.
Let me give you one of many scenarios
can you imagine how one of my supposed admirers who claimed to be in love with me missed his exam just because he didn’t hear from me or see me in school so he had to come to see me make sure I was ok.
My phone has been switched off because I was reading for an exam I had that evening when I got a knock on my door saying Julian(fake name) has been at the gate waiting for me, I was so pissed, I hated the whole stocker vibes but I needed to dismiss him else he would keep telling everyone he sees at my hostel gate to call me.

I went down to see him, then when we saw his coursemate returning from school, she came over and asked him why he didn’t take the exam, he was shocked and said I was at fault that he couldn’t get his mind off me all day because he had not seen me, he didn’t remember he had a paper to write.
It was so foolish of him at the same time I felt so bad for him, but there was nothing I could do, it was crazy. he had to carry the course over, with an extra year and till I left school he never stops reminding me of how I made him fail and the least I could do was dating him. Sadly, I wasn’t that remorseful about his situation, his fault not mine. I didn’t fall for the cheap blackmail.
I am not perfect too, I have had my share of foolishness when it came to love too.
During my talking stage with my husband but then friend and gist partner told him about a guy I liked, finally, I loved someone, he was already a graduate(my type) and job hunting. We communicated a lot and I told him how I felt even when he didn’t reciprocate the love instead he started asking for money every time as a lover girl I kept on giving and giving, even giving him about $120 for his sister's wedding.
It took a long conversation about this guy with my now husband and then a friend to open my eyes to see how this supposed boyfriend at the time was using me....then I concluded that karma was real😂😂.
But now I have come to understand what love truly means. I think I am doing better.
Love to me means sacrifice, patience, and commitment. Love is never one-sided, love is about giving and taking, putting in extra effort, and getting the same vibe back.
Like the question asks,
At one time or the other, we all have been in love. Many of us are even in love now. So tell us all those things you can do for love, how far you are willing to go. And then the things you will never do.
So right now the greatest thing I Can do for love is ,
sacrifice, set aside my time and desires for my partner, put his needs and that of my child above mine and that is how far I am willing to go.
the major thing I can never do for love is
anything contrary, to my faith as a Christian, sorry but I cannot sin against God for the sake of love.
