ENGLISH

Today I have fulfilled a dream of one of my nephews, because for a few days he has been at home spending his vacation and, despite having walked through several places in the capital of the country, there was a fixed idea that did not leave his head:
She wanted to visit Playa Tarará because in her school she was told that several children from Ukraine stayed there, after the nuclear accident that country suffered, at the end of the 80's of the last century and, because of other stories and photos she saw of my husband, my children and me in that place.

alt

Who is capable of not fulfilling a child's dream when they have the possibility to do so?

That was the question my husband asked me when I told him what the child wanted, to which I responded with another question:

alt

How do we do it because what they sell there is expensive, the place is far away and the household economy is not very good?

My husband's next answer convinced me that he was determined to please the child and, by the way, spend a different afternoon and distract us in the midst of so much heat and the difficulties of everyday life.

alt

When we came to realize we were already organizing the trip, with a maxim of these times and for outings like these: Try to take what we can, so that the expense is the least.

alt

So we prepared snacks, lunch, froze water and took ice, water and some beers, to mitigate the heat that plagues our country.

alt

We had already secured the first part of the logistics, but we were missing an important part: transportation. For this we looked for the most viable variants, but having the possibility of round-trip transportation was the best. This is what we did and with a shared effort we were able to get the transportation.

The joy the child felt is indescribable. Those who have children know what I mean because seeing the smile reflected on the face of these angels cannot be compared to anything.

At 10 o'clock in the morning the transport picked us up and we moved towards Tarará, a beach located east of Havana and that has a unique charm and landscape. As it is a beach on the northern keys, its waters are clean. During the trip my husband and I looked at the face of my youngest nephew and I can assure you that it was a song of happiness.

alt

On the expedition were my husband, the boy, another nephew and myself.
At 10:47 we arrived and the first thing we saw was that to get in you had to pay 250 pesos per person. That made 750 pesos because children under 11 years old do not pay.

alt

We thought about going somewhere else because it was too expensive, but that was the beach the kid wanted and, maybe it wasn't so bad because we were told that the entrance fee gave us the right to shop inside the beach and that access was limited to 150 people.

alt

It got better when they gave us a handle to get in. Not that it was an all-inclusive hotel, but, it is what they put on my husband and me when we go to any pasadía.

If there is one thing I am thankful for, it is that we stayed, because from the moment we entered, the atmosphere was pleasant.

alt

Already on the beach you can imagine my nephew leaving the beach when his voracious appetite asked him to calm his hunger.
I must say that the place is cozy, with the possibility of renting equipment such as boats, water bikes and other equipment that I do not remember the name and are not so expensive, for how prices are in this part of the world.

Being with the manilla gave us the possibility to buy lunch or other food, but we saved that money because we had enough logistics to not spend money on food. But, I can tell you that the food plate was not so expensive and the highest was lobster at 600 pesos a plate. It is true that it is high, but what I have seen around makes me talk like that.

alt

There were several things we did on the beach: bathing on the beach was our main activity, but we listened to music, we threw our halls, we drank a few beers that mitigated the intense heat that reigned and we planned that the next trip we take to the beach will have this same destination.

At 5 o'clock in the afternoon the car came to pick us up.

Before boarding the car the boy made us cry because he hugged us and thanked us for having fulfilled his dream and for the good time he had.

When we arrived home he told me that since I am a Spanish teacher I should help him write this experience because when the school year starts they have the task of telling an unforgettable experience of the vacation period.

I am writing this publication tired and with a lump in my throat.
There are things that excite, but the happiness of a child is priceless.

I say no more.
