[ESP/ENG] Quilombo en la esquina del parque / Mess on the corner of the park
Invito a @lileisabel,
@damarysvibra y a
No hicieron discursos largos.

Hello to all members of the @hiveargentina community.
Today I'm joining this month's initiative to share my contribution.
I'm inviting @lileisabel,
@damarysvibra, and
@ericvancewalton to tell us about a crazy experience they've had.
Here's my entry.
The trouble started one ordinary afternoon, one of those when the heat seems to melt patience and words become more fragile than usual. Marta and Rogelio, friends for years, met on the corner of the park, where the wind barely stirred the leaves and people walked with the slowness of those who don't want to provoke the sun. Both were carrying worries, but neither knew the other's burden. And so, without malice aforethought, the entanglement began.
Marta had overheard Rogelio saying something about her at a neighborhood meeting. It wasn't serious, but it sounded like criticism disguised as a joke. When she saw him, she decided to ask him directly, though in a sharper tone than she'd intended. Rogelio, who was irritated by a problem at work, interpreted the question as an attack. He responded sharply, and within seconds they were arguing about something neither of them fully understood.
People around them watched with curiosity, because both were known for their calm demeanor. But that day, words took a turn. Marta believed Rogelio was evading the truth. Rogelio thought Marta was unfairly accusing him. Every sentence they tried to clarify became a new spark. The mess grew like misunderstandings grow: fast, absurd, and unstoppable.
Finally, Rogelio left, upset, and Marta was left with the bitter feeling of having lost something she couldn't quite name. Two days passed without them speaking, each convinced the other had acted with ill intent. But the truth was much simpler: a misheard phrase, a poorly managed emotion, an inopportune moment.
Reconciliation came when a neighbor, tired of seeing them walking like distant shadows, decided to intervene. She explained that Rogelio's supposed comment had been misquoted, that he had never said what Marta thought. And she also reminded them that friendship, like the plants in the yard, needs constant care.
When they met again, Marta took a deep breath and Rogelio lowered his gaze. They didn't give long speeches. They simply said what they should have said from the beginning: I was wrong, I didn't mean to, I value you. And so, the mess dissolved as misunderstandings do: with honesty, calmly, and with a little humility.
