Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Splinterlands Learning Journey

Hey Splintermates, what is going on? I am doing pretty well mates, I am going to show you in this post my latest achievements in Splinterlands.

But before that, I would like to encourage all Splinterlands players to participate in this new Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge. From my point of view, it is a very good opportunity to share with the community how your game learning journey has been.

We players have now the chance to share our mistakes and strategies with new players. And maybe current players can profit as well.

But before jumping in, I would like to share with you the results from this last season. If you read my latest post regarding the Modern ranking Leaderboard, you will remember that I was pushing hard to get into the TOP 100 and get these juicy rewards.

So well my friends, take a look at the picture above. Yes, I DID it! I could make it to rank 95 in the Modern DIAMOND League. Not bad mates 😎.

But now, lets focus in this amazing challenge 🤠.

What you see above is my presentation card. 27.352 battles in total. I think I am in a position to share with you my journey 🤣😜.

At the very beginning, I did a big mistake. The very first card I bought was this one:

Charlok Minotaur for 6.29 USD. OMG, what a mistake 🤑. As you can see in the picture, the card is actually 0.22 USD worth. But you know what, I bought this card because I liked the design. I wasn´t aware about the mana cost, about the position each card needs to have on the battlefield, I didn´t know anything. But I liked this card.

So you, my friend, you need to avoid that mistake. If you want to climb through the leaderboard and get some juicy rewards, you will need to learn how to manage the available mana. But more important: As a general rule, melee monsters can only attack from the FIRST POSITION. So don´t put them random in the middle. Because they are not going to do any damage 😰.

But mate, hold on please. You still need to know something very important regarding RANGE units. This was my second mistake BIG mistake at the beginning in Splinterlands. Another purchase I did at the very beginning of Splinterlands was Ettin Spearman. And again, I liked that card. Not sure why, I focused mostly in fire and high mana units. But in this case, it was a unit with range attack.

In a lot of battles, I put him in the first unit, as he has 8 health points. But for unknown reasons, he was not attacking. I didn´t know why😤😕. It took me a lot of battles to understand, that ranged units they also don´t attack from the very FIRST position. So Splintermate, please be aware, that RANGED units and MELEE units, usually they don´t attack from the FIRST position.

In the industry, it is Business As Usual to do Leassons Learned. So here are my Leassons Learned for Splinterlands.

• Splinterlands Community: Before investing, follow and contact Splinterlands players. I would have appreciated a lot having the New Player Experience that is available today. The Splinterlands community is great and everyone is willing to help. If you want to know something, just ask. We will help you.

• Ambassador program: There are a lot of veteran Splinterlands players that offer some juicy referral bonuses like @bravetofu.

• Social Media: As the items above, before investing big in Splinterlands, just have a look at Youtube, X or PeakD. You will find very useful information about this game and where to put your efforts. There are SPlinterlands players like @nozem01, @bulldog1205, @infidel1258 or @aftersound that they provide very useful information in the different platforms. So take that advantage and learn from them.

• Campaign Mode: Very very IMPORTANT. Since a couple of weeks, if you want to give a try to Splinterlands and learn how it works, you can play the CAMPAIGN mode. In this way, you will learn how to play the game and you will start earning some rewards. Back in the past, we didn´t have that chance, so take advantage of that.
