What’s up everyone? It’s me intishar@intishar, once again. I hope everyone is well and good and enjoying the battles of Splinterlands. Frontier battles are very popular as it allows us to give cards as rewards, but in the case of Modern Battles some people feel uninterested if they don’t have staked SPS, as there is no card reward like in Frontier Battles. Instead, Modern Battles has its own purpose. I love most about Modern Battles is that it allows me to use all of my cards, unless there are any restrictions in battles.

This time there is a new update in the modern mode and it’s about BRACKETS and honestly, I didn’t understand too much at the beginning. Maybe it’s because I didn’t pay too much attention at first and I selected silver but after playing few battles, I noticed that all of my level one card were not allowed to use and most of my care were level one card and I realized that it’s something related to brackets. So, I needed to change it and started playing the battles again and this time I selected bronze. And the good thing is I became the winner in most of the battles I played. And now I am going to share one of the battles.

The mana cap of the battle was 44 and there were no restrictions on using cards. The ruleset was “Power of Three: All units that cost 3 mana starts with +1 power.”. All the Archons were allowed, and I used earth elements this time for the battle. The first card was "Ironwing Juggernaut" and it was the only card with 3 mana. The attack power was 2 and increased it into 3 for 3 mana rule and life also increased for using Aurelia as Archon. Moreover, it had 3 defense power and 3 speed and it was the suitable card for the first position.

Honesty, I didn’t pay too much attention on attacking the first card of the opponent because the opponent used “Ulundin Overseer” in all of his battles and so in the second position I used “Khan Feywest” in the second position which can attack unites stay behind the first position. Besides the speed and life was also good to place it there. In the third position, I felt using "Vengeful Monk" for having the ability to snipe attack and it means it will mostly attack cards of opponents behind the first position.

In the fourth position I used one of my favorite cards, and the card was “Stonebind Matron” It has two magic power abilities with decent life, and the thing I like most about the card is the 4 speed, and many times opponents miss the attack because of its high speed. Additionally, it uses snipe attack. I wish I could use the card in the frontier battle also. And in the 5th position, I choose a card with the ability to do a ranged attack to the opponent’s unit in the last position, as my target was another card except the first one. The card was "Husk of the Hunter" It has 1 armor, 3 range attack power, and has 5 health with decent speed and it’s the suitable card for the last position in this battle.

As expected, I won the battle. I think the opponent played with the old strategy and that helped me to win the battle easily. I think if my opponent changed 1 or 2 cards I might lose the battle. Whatever, I am the winner and you are welcome to see the battle. Here is the battle link.
