As the newly appointed CMO of InFocus Games I would like to introduce new players to The Eververse and Pathfinders while simultaneously providing continuous updates for our existing community. Therefore I would like to introduce our new Pre-deployment Post Series!
In the first one I will give a broad introduction, some general updates and say a little about our EverVerse Founders Token (EFT) plus its benefits. At the end there will be a small teaser of what’s to come - and two giveaways including one for Splinterlands!
The EverVerse is an ever expanding universe of games with support of cross-game blockchain based assets. In layman terms this simply means that
I think you get the idea behind it now and suggest you check out the video below showing some of the space exploration & combat planned to be part of the first EverVerse game: Pathfinders.
Besides cross-game item sharing the EverVerse will also have a cross-game currency - this is already in existence and known as EverVerse Coins or EVCs. But more on this later in this post.
Pathfinders revolves around a combination of space exploration & combat (as seen in Crypto Space Commander, Alterverse: Disruption and of course No Man’s Sky) and top-down action with RPG elements (as seen in Diablo, Darksiders, etc.). Pathfinders will be fully playable on its own but will also be the first EverVerse game.
Pathfinders already has a free public demo which can be downloaded from the front page of our website. This demo however, does not contain blockchain integration even though this has been successfully tested in a previous demo. Blockchain integration (such as characters, weapons and stats based on which NFT’s players hold in their wallets and of course blockchain based loot to be found) will return with the release of version 1.0 - along with a multitude of other new features. But more on this in the following posts 😉
In the next few days more details about what is planned for version 1.0 of Pathfinders will be announced. For now I will just mention a few teasers of features players can look forward to:

EverVerse Coins will be an important cross-game currency for all current and future EverVerse games. Initially the currency will be centralised and not tradable outside Pathfinders. This is to allow time for bug fixes, tests on economy functions and ensure nothing gets out of hand or goes down a path that is deleterious to the EverVerse vision.
With time however, the currency will become decentralised either as a token listed on an exchange, or simply by making it into an enjin backed NFT. Until we reach the point where EVCs can be traded freely among players they can only be obtained through official events, promotions and contests, by looting it in Pathfinders or by purchasing it in our store. Right now all purchases in our webshop award EVCs as a bonus - take note this is a time limited event though and won’t last for long.
EVCs will have a number of different utilities: With the release of Pathfinders 1.0 it will provide access to game modes with blockchain based loot. It will also be possible to purchase dungeon keys or even loot boxes directly.
In the future the plan is also implement the currency in our webshop and allow players to make purchases with it at a fixed value (the value at which it is sold right now - without taking the bonus amounts into consideration of course). So if you want to get some future discounts in our store you should grab some EVCs now!
We are very visionary about the future implications of EVCs, so if you’re lucky (or skilled) enough to get your hands on some we suggest you don’t spend it all at once - perhaps even HODL a few ;) who knows what will happen with it, perhaps 3rd party game developers will incorporate the currency into their own games in the future!
Even though the EverVerse and the first game in it, Pathfinders, are quite far ahead development wise it’s still possible to join the closed group of early supporters. Our community already counts a number of founders (EFT holders) but there’s room for more.
