Listen very carefully ...

You can convert your alpha cards to their beta version

Be sure to have your alpha card displayed. Then:

• check it
• Convert to beta button becomes active

• click on it and confirm the action

Ta Da ...

Congratulations. You now have a beta card and can combine it with other beta cards of the same monster to level them up.
