Home gardening has started at my place too this season. On Thursday I have planted several lettuce plants and finally filled in the raised bed frame. Here are some photos.
With this sort of the lettuce you tear off individual leaves and let the plant grow further. This way it can produce delicious homegrown salad for several months.

Do you know what this is?
The product is called Zeleni kosmiči or Green Flakes. It is a stone mineral wool. It keeps moisture in the earth longer and thus reduces the need of watering it.
The raised bed is now ready for the plants.
This was the situation a week ago before I started with the final filling in of earth and the mineral wool.
The structure of the bed is made with spruce logs.
