Yesterday we stayed in Solčava area and visited a special place. It was a partisan hospital high above Robanov kot which is one of the four parallel valleys in this area. All forur Valleys, Robanov kot, Logarska dolina, Matkov kot, Dolina Bele, are beautiful and special in their own way.
During the year 1994 partisan hospital was established here and tended to the wounded partisans. They settled the facilities high above the valley, away from any paths. The conditions were harsh, especially during the winter. Yet, the absolute secrecy and almost impossible approach were very much needed.
These days, a marked path leads visitors to the hospital. It is still a steep and demanding approach yet totally doable by anybody. Of course, usual carefulness while moving in the mountains is needed. You should watch your steps and be aware of any loose stones and slippery roots.
We visited this hospital many times since it is a part of our heritage. It is also a place where we are reminded of the values that really matter. Friendship, sacrifice for others, helping people in dire need, camaraderie, ...

The hike is about one mile long. It takes around 45 minutes for experienced mountaineer to reach it. As I told you, it is well marked.
