Eye contact

I used to be a really shy person throughout most of my earlier days. It took several steps for me to get to where I am now and it will take several more steps to get to where I will end up, but I am quit content with where I have come already.

Life is like a journey.

Eye contact used to be so uncomfortable, I couldn't keep it up during a conversation and because of that I was never having real conversations.

The moment I started to look at people I passed in the streets, the bus, shops, anywhere really; I noticed something. So many people are getting uncomfortable by eye contact as they have this reflex to look away directly, the floor seems to be more interesting than a pair of eyes. This same pattern happens all over, in pretty much every city I've been in.
When I noticed this fact, I knew that I wasn't the only one and by practicing it more and more is where I started to get comfortable with it.

By practicing I mean, to not look away myself when true eye contact happens.

Nowadays It puts a big smile on my face and I get a good feeling when I am able to touch someone with my eyes, it's like we're having a conversation. These 3 seconds of contact can be extremely intense, and I know it feels the same for the other side. at times it even feels sexual.

For sure you get to know a person on a whole other level by looking into their eyes. It's not a cliché when they say the eyes are the reflection of the soul.
