After showing you the collection of self portraits of Pál Nagy the other day, today I'd like to show you his other paintings and artworks, to see how complex his talent is.

Ice Formation

After all the portraits I saw previously, this painting opened a totally different world to me. Looks simple, as it's just geometric forms thrown on a canvas, but in fact, it's more than that for me. Most likely half of you don't understand this, because you've never seen ice in your life, let alone cracking ice. This is exactly how it looks and you don't want to stand on it. What I see here however is a very nice pattern and the addict in me could see this as a fabric for a shirt, a blouse or a dress. Yes, I know ... :))

Piney - 1976

An interesting way of depicting a piney, unique in my eyes as I've never seen such style before. We all know trees are not so close to each other, but art is art and I like it. Looking at from a distance, it looks like a pattern to me, a very nice one :) Those colors have been perfectly selected, would look great on any wall.

Fruit Tree - 1959

Simplicity in art is definitely something to appreciate. I wouldn't call this minimalist, as it's more than that though. I see this tree somewhat similar to a life path. I hope you can see that too.

And this is how the glare can ruin a wonderful painting, like this. Sometimes I wish I could move these beauties somewhere else in order to take a decent photo, but obviously that's not possible. I liked the perfect harmony between the color of the painting, the inner, paper frame and the blue wooden frame. Excellent choices.

Snowy Trees - 1975

I hope I'm not the only addict here, who loves this piece. Again, simplicity and perfect colors (in my eyes) make it perfect for me. The white snow just accentuates the beauty of the colors. Now imagine this painting with a white inner frame and a white or a brown wooden frame. Would it be the same experience? I don't think so. The artwork alone does not make the impression, the frame and the inner frame in total does.

Spider Web

Again, the keyword here is simplicity I believe. An old piece of wood and a spider web. What surprised me here was the choice of colors. Brown is the color of the wood obviously and green for the spider web, which is a tricky thing as in real life it's kind of transparent or it seems so, because it's so thin.

Judas Money

This was a bit confusing, till I ran a search to see what I'm dealing with. The title seemed to be hiding some religious meaning, but the flower somehow did not confirm that. Turns out this is a plant called brassicaceae and most likely has little or nothing to do with religion.

This may looks like a non important photo to many of you, but for me, it means a lot. I'm always taking a photo or two of the exhibition room, for you to see how it looks and trust me, it looks easy at first, but aligning everything right is not a piece of cake. Usually I'm straightening them at home, before posting them, but this one needed no straightening, which gives me a lot of satisfaction. Holding your phone steady is not an easy job, trust me.

Oak Landscape - 1954

When I looked at this one, I thought it's either as old as the style shows, or it's not that old, just the style is old. Well, the first one was the right one, it's from 1954. It's a very nice landscape and the frame was carefully selected as well, to match the style.

Along The Mures River

And this is where things get interesting. This is an unusual size canvas that you see very rarely used. I've seen a few in my life, but still rare. I see them as wide angle photography, although the comparison may be the best. It was a nice landscape, something to be proud of in case you own it. The frame is not exactly my style, but that doesn't matter.

I really appreciated seeing so many different styles from the same artist and you haven't seen it all. There's another surprise coming soon.
