Greetings artistic community. I am pleased to present to you a little of my evolution in semirealism.

Saludos comunidad artística. Me complace presentarles un poco de mi evolución en el semirealismo.

Frenesi

Originally I had named my digital work "The Lady in Pink" but I realized that it was not the appropriate name for the emotional charge with which it was made, so I thought it was better to call it Frenzy, there is a lot of passion, love and pain put into this work.

Originalmente le había puesto como nombre a mi obra digital "La dama de rosa" pero me fijé que no era el nombre apropiado para la carga emocional con la que fue hecha, por lo cual me pareció mejor llamarla frenesí, hay mucha pasión, amor y dolor puesta en este trabajo.

Many people got used to my cartoons, chibi-kawaai art, but they didn't know this part of me, these drawings of great difficulty and with a lot of work and hours of dedication, in this case it took me two weeks approximately to finish this design and not because of attention to so many details, but because of my indecision with some colors and things inside it that I was changing as you will see in my step by step.

Muchos se acostumbraron y hasta yo, a mis dibujos animados, arte chibi-kawaai pero no conocían esta parte mía, estos dibujos de mucha dificultad y con mucho trabajo y horas de dedicación, en este caso tardé dos semanas aproximadamente para culminar este diseño y no por atención a tantos detalles, sino por mi indecisión con algunos colores y cosas dentro del mismo que fui cambiando como verán en mi paso a paso.

My work means a lot to me, it is the reflection of my inner self in these moments, there is a lot of symbolism here, I am still the delicate flower, but it is so much what I have had to live and overcome these last years that I surround myself with my own thorns to protect myself from the evil that surrounds me, I can not say that they are people, because it is not so, I mean the plural sense. As always I am doing catharsis through my art.

Mi obra significa mucho para mi, es el reflejo de mi yo interior en estos momentos, hay mucho simbolismo aquí, sigo siendo la delicada flor, pero es tanto lo que me ha tocado vivir y superar estos últimos años que me rodeo de mis propias espinas para protegerme del mal que me rodea, no puedo decir que son las personas, porque no es así, me refiero al sentido plural. Como siempre yo haciendo catarsis a través de mi arte.

In spite of everything, I involved that spiritual light that guides me and characterizes me, trying to make up the pain of my soul with the beauty of my own makeup and pretend that everything is fine in order to move forward and continue. I would love to be able to sell this work and have it appreciated by someone else but I don't believe in NFTs anymore, they don't come out. With this AI art I feel that those of us who draw step by step and by hand are suffering from the displacement theory, I could never compare a design made in AI that took 5 minutes to elaborate to a drawing made by hand and pulse that took weeks, months, where the author captures all his emotions. It's all part of technology and advances. Anyway my passion for drawing will remain the same.

A pesar de todo, involucré esa luz espiritual que me guía y caracteriza, el tratar de maquillar el dolor de mi alma con la belleza del propio maquillaje y aparentar que todo está bien para poder avanzar y continuar. Me encantaría poder vender esta obra y que la apreciara alguien más pero ya no creo en las NFT, no salen. Con eso del arte en IA siento que los que dibujamos paso a paso y a mano estamos sufriendo de la teoría del desplazo, jamás podría comparar un diseño hecho en IA del que se tardó 5 Minutos en elaborarlo a un dibujo hecho a mano y pulso del que se tardó semanas, meses, donde el autor plasma todas sus emociones. Todo es parte de la tecnología y los avances. De todas formas mi pasión por dibujar seguirá siendo la misma.

Step 1️⃣ / Paso 1️⃣

I started this design without having any idea of many things, I only had the idea in my mind of inlaying the roses and the thorns, but I did not have many things clear such as: the color, and some shapes.

Comencé este diseño sin tener idea de muchas cosas, solo tenia idea en la mente de incrustarle las rosas y las espinas, más no tenía muchas cosas claras como: el color, y algunas formas.

Step 2️⃣ / Paso 2️⃣

I would like to find another way of shading other than airbrushing, as I feel it messes up my design, in the first image I started by airbrushing and applying eye makeup, as well as coloring the rose.

Quisiera encontrar otra forma de sombrear que no sea con aerografía, pues siento que ensucia mi diseño, en la primera imagen comencé por aplicar aerografía y maquillaje en los ojos, además de darle color a la rosa.

The shading of the skin is something I worked on until the end, because I always tried to make the features stand out. I do the eyelashes and a bit of airbrushing on the lips.

El sombreado de la piel es algo que trabajé hasta el final, pues siempre traté de que se notaran bien las facciones. Realizo las pestañas y un poco de aerografía en los labios.

Step 3️⃣ / Paso 3️⃣

In the elaboration of the roses I impregnated my essence, it is the reflection of my inner self, I elaborated them with patience and love. I apply blush on the cheeks.

En la elaboración de las rosas impregné mi esencia, es el reflejo de mi interior, las elaboré con paciencia y con cariño. Aplico rubor en las mejillas. 

Once one flower is finished I make the other one, first I draw the edges of the petals and then I apply the airbrush in two tones. The intention is to make the ones that are different so that I can copy them and reproduce them in various parts of the design.

Terminada una flor realizo la otra, primero dibujo los bordes de los pétalos y luego aplico la aerografía en dos tonos. La intención es hacer las que son diferentes para poder copiarlas y reproducirlas en varias partes del diseño.

When I started working on the background, I wasn't sure what colors I would use, but it had to have that glow and sunlight, so I decided to work with this palette and see how it would look if I used different brushes like airbrushing, spraying and chalk. I needed this to establish the hair color, which was done in the same way I do with my cartoons.

Cuando empiezo a trabajar en el fondo, no tenía claro los colore que usaría, pero debía tener ese resplandor y luz del sol, por lo que decidí trabar con esta palera y ver como quedaría si usaba diferentes pinceles como aerografía, pulverización y chalk. Necesitaba esto para establecer el color del cabello, el cual fue elaborado de la misma forma que hago con mis caricaturas.

Step 4️⃣ / Paso 4️⃣

I didn't like the background so I changed it, I preferred something simple in airbrush and show more light, making the edges lighter and working more with orange and yellow tones. Already in this step, I copied one of my roses and I was pasting them in the places where I wanted, of which I modified the size in some of them.

No me pareció el fondo por lo cual lo fui cambiando, preferí algo sencillo en aerografía y mostrar más luz, aclarando más los bordes y trabajando más con tonos naranja y amarillo. Ya en este paso, copié una de mis rosas y las fui pegando en los lugares donde quería, de las cuales modifiqué su tamaño en algunas. 

From the beginning the thorn vine seemed grotesque in its thickness, it looked very rigid, without grace or movement, unnatural. I spent days thinking about how I could improve it, imagining, so I thought it was better to remove the thickness and give it undulations to generate movement.

Desde un principio la enredadera de las espinas, me parecía grotesca en su grosor, se veía como muy rígida, sin gracia ni movimiento, antinatural. Pasé días pensando cómo podría mejorarla, imaginando, por lo cual pensé que era mejor quitar el grosor y darle ondulaciones para generar movimiento.

I drew two vines, one intertwined with the other, to be able to work more comfortably I put them in separate folders, so that when I apply shading and light they don't interfere with me, from here I saw a difference and it looked more beautiful. I am satisfied with this work, I hope you like it, as I practice I will improve my technique.

Dibujé dos enredaderas, una entrelazada con la otra, para poder trabajar más cómoda las puse en carpetas separadas, de la forma que cuando aplicara sombreado y luz no me interfieran, desde aquí ya vi una diferencia y se veía más bonita. Estoy satisfecha por esta obra, espero sea de tu completo agrado, en la medida que practique iré mejorando mi técnica.
