This work was born from the inspiration of a challenge DTIYS by Dani, although it doesn't look like anything, I only took it to inspire me, since his drawing is a vector without much or any difficulty, like any vector.
However it inspired me a lot and given the time I had without drawing. I named her Candy because of her sweet appearance, since I wanted to make her hair like clouds, the little cake she holds and that candy effect I achieved in the background, I really liked it, it looks very colorful, I incorporated other colors to make it more colorful, pastel colors.
The image provokes me to eat sweets, cakes, candies, ice cream, marshmallow, cotton candy and endless unhealthy things, hahaha! Well, in my defense I can say that I have to keep an eye on my sugar because it is almost always low, so eating a little sweet stabilizes me. But you have to take care of yourself.
Talking about the artwork, you already know my style of drawing, it doesn't require much technique as they are chibi-kawaii style caricatures, I add personal details that could make them a bit different from both.
I loved her eyes, they stand out a lot in the color and that mischievousness that I tried to show when she is tempted to take a bite of the cake.
Her outfit, a little white polka dot dress reminds us of ice cream chips. The circus atmosphere invites us to the use of balloons or maybe she is having a party. I liked it a lot because she is celebrating, a birthday like me who celebrated it recently.
The candy effect in the hair I also feel satisfied, I wanted it to look like cotton candy, like a soft, fluffy and sweet marshmallow.
In spite of the time without drawing, I see that I keep the touch. I invite you to see my step by step.
Esta obra naci贸 de la inspiraci贸n de un reto DTIYS de Dani, aunque no se parece en nada, solo lo tome para inspirarme, ya que su dibujo es un vector sin mucha o nada de dificultad, como cualquier vector.
Sin embargo me inspir贸 much铆simo y dado el tiempo que ten铆a sin dibujar. Le coloqu茅 por nombre Candy por su apariencia de dulce, ya que quise hacerle el cabello como nubes, el ponquesito que sostiene y ese efecto de caramelo que logr茅 en el fondo, me gust贸 mucho se ve muy colorido, incorpor茅 otros colores para darle m谩s vistosidad, colores pasteles.
La imagen me provoca comer dulces, ponqu茅s, caramelos, helados, marshmallow, algod贸n d az煤car y un sin fin de cosas poco saludables, 隆Jajaja! Bueno, en mi defensa puedo decir que debo estar pendiente del az煤car pues casi siempre est谩 baja, as铆 que comer un poco de dulce me estabiliza. Pero hay que cuidarse.
Hablando de la obra, ya conocen mi estilo para dibujar, no requiere de mucha t茅cnica pues son caricaturas al estilo chibi-kawaii le agrego detalles personales que podr铆an alejarlas un poco de ambas.
Me encantaron sus ojos, resaltan mucho en el color y esa picard铆a que trat茅 de mostrar al que ella se ve tentada de darle un mordisco al ponqu茅.
Su vestimenta, un vestidito de lunares blancos nos recuerda los chips de los helados. El ambiente de circo nos invita al uso de los globos o quiz谩 est谩 de fiesta. Me gust贸 mucho porque est谩 de celebraci贸n, de cumplea帽os como yo que los celebr茅 hace poco.
El efecto candy en el cabello tambi茅n me siento satisfecha, quise que se viera como algod贸n de az煤car, como un suave, esponjosito y dulce marshmallow.
A pesar del tiempo sin dibujar, veo que conservo el toque. Los invito a ver mi paso a paso.
I used something new today to make the sketch and I was fascinated, I didn't know that the watercolor brush would help me to give it ease, I worked more comfortable putting together the idea, many times the marked and rigid lines bring me problems, but in this case I worked very easily.
I put together the first sketch that consists of the guide lines that make up the head and body, as well as the position of the hands.
On the next canvas I make the other sketch, which will be the one that will guide me to fill in the color, since I haven't used line art for a long time, the drawings are better finished according to my perception.
As it has a lot of white color, it was necessary to place the background color, I did not agree that the dress would blend with the background so I took a darker tone.
Algo nuevo us茅 hoy para hacer el boceto y qued茅 fascinada, no sab铆a que el pincel acuarela me ayudar铆a a darle soltura, trabaj茅 m谩s c贸moda armando la idea, muchas veces las l铆neas marcadas y r铆gidas me traen problemas, pero en este caso trabaj茅 con mucha facilidad.
Armo el primer boceto que consta de las l铆neas gu铆a que conforman la cabeza y cuerpo, as铆 como la posici贸n de las manos.
En el siguiente lienzo elaboro el otro boceto, que ser谩 el que me guiar谩 para rellenar el color ya que no uso line art desde hace mucho, los dibujos quedan mejor acabados seg煤n mi percepci贸n.
Como tiene mucho color blanco, me era necesario colocar el color de fondo, no estaba de acuerdo con que el vestido se mimetizara con el fondo por lo cual tom茅 un tono m谩s oscuro.
The hair is filled with several layers because I wanted to give it a 3D look with the shading.
In the same way I filled each space with color until I achieved the flat color in its entirety.
I had a lot of fun giving life to the hair, in this step I applied the details to give it texture and a three dimensional look. The brushes I use I will post them at the end of the post.
El cabello est谩 relleno por varias capas pues quise darle un aspecto 3D con el sombreado.
De la misma forma fui llenando de color cada espacio hasta lograr el color plano en su totalidad.
Me divert铆 mucho d谩ndole vida al cabello, en este paso ya aplic贸 los detales para darle textura y aspecto tridimensional. Los pinceles que uso los colocar茅 al final del post.
In the next step I work on the cake, for this I apply shading and colored sprinkles.
In the next step I apply the skin shading, this is by layering and adjusting the opacity of the layers to create light and dark shades.
En el siguiente paso trabajo en el ponqu茅, para ello aplico sombreado y chispas de colores.
En el siguiente paso aplico el sombreado de piel, esto es por capas y ajustando la opacidad de las mismas para crear tonalidades claras y oscuras.
Next I work on the eyes, details of shadows and lights with airbrushing are what help me to achieve that effect.
Finally I add the polka dots to the clothing. With the parallel adjustment tool I create those white diagonal lines to give the caramel look. Simple steps helped me to create this beautiful work that I hope you like.
Seguidamente trabajo en los ojos, detalles de sombras y luces con aerograf铆a son los que me ayudan a lograr ese efecto.
Para finalizar agrego los lunares a la vestimenta. Con la herramienta ajuste paralelo creo esas l铆neas blancas diagonales para darle el aspecto caramelo. Simples pasos me ayudaron a crear esta hermosa obra que espero te guste.
