¡Hola comunidad!
Definitivamente a los trabajos hay que dedicarles su tiempo para disfrutarlos más y pulir más los detalles. Hoy aprendí hacer tulipanes con foami moldeable, sigo aprendiendo de este noble material, muy versátil y económico.
Necesito elementos decorativos para los fondos de mis videos, cositas en mi mesa que le den personalidad. Cuando hago mis tiradas de tarot casi siempre enciendo una vela, desde hace tiempo ando buscando un porta velas pero no he conseguido, hoy entre el corte eléctrico de 8 horas desde la mañana y para no enloquecer, me dispuse a hacer este hermoso objeto que se me ocurrió.
Con mucha práctica creo que podré hacer ramos de flores hermosos.
Ya estoy extrañando trabajar con mi papelería creativa, pero quiero aprender a moldear cositas con todo lo flexible y probar texturas, son cosas que están en tendencia y se pueden aprovechar.

You definitely need to devote time to your projects to enjoy them more and refine the details. Today I learnt how to make tulips out of mouldable foam; I’m still learning about this wonderful material, which is so versatile and affordable.
I need decorative elements for the backgrounds of my videos – little bits and bobs on my table to give them some character. When I do my tarot readings, I almost always light a candle; I’ve been looking for a candle holder for ages but haven’t managed to find one. Today, with an 8-hour power cut since this morning and to stop myself going mad, I set about making this lovely little object that popped into my head.
With plenty of practice, I think I’ll be able to make beautiful bouquets of flowers.
I’m already missing working with my craft supplies, but I want to learn how to mould little things with this flexible material and experiment with textures – these are trends that are in vogue right now and well worth exploring.

Coloco un poco de pegamento en toda la tapa de plástico y pego la base del porta lamparitas metálico en el centro.
Tomo una porción de foami color verde y lo extiendo dentro de la tapa de plástico.
Tomo una porción pequeña de foami moldeable color amarillo y una porción de foami color rosa, y corto un trocito de palito de altura.
Realizo una bolita con el foami color amarillo e introduzco el trozo de foami moldeable amarillo, luego le doy forma de cono invertido
Estiro la masa color rosa y divido en 4 porciones iguales.

I put a little glue all over the plastic lid and stick the base of the metal light bulb holder in the centre.
I take a piece of green foam and spread it out inside the plastic lid.
I take a small piece of yellow modelling foam and a piece of pink modelling foam, and cut a small piece of a skewer to the right length.
I roll the yellow modelling foam into a small ball and insert the piece of yellow modelling foam, then shape it into an inverted cone.
I roll out the pink modelling foam and divide it into 4 equal portions.

Con ayuda de la cuchara de plástico hago la forma de los pétalos, para el tulipán necesitamos 4.
Luego vamos a ir pegando los pétalos intercalando abrazando el pistilo.

Using the plastic spoon, I shape the petals; we need four for the tulip.
Then we’ll stick the petals on, alternating them so that they wrap around the pistil.

Realizo una bolita con foami color verde, coloco un punto de pegamento en la base y lo pego, luego coloco el tulipán sobre el.
repito los pasos anteriores para elaborar los demás tulipanes hasta cubrir los espacios del porta velas.
Tomo un molde de hoja y un trozo de foami moldeable color verde, hago una bolita y aplano, luego con el molde hago el corte y marco las nervaduras de la pieza.

I roll a small ball out of green foam, put a dot of glue on the base and stick it down, then place the tulip on top.
I repeat the previous steps to make the other tulips until the candle holder is completely covered.
I take a leaf-shaped template and a piece of mouldable green foam, roll it into a small ball and flatten it, then use the template to cut out the shape and mark the veins on the piece.

Repito el procedimiento anterior para hacer el resto de las hojas, voy pegando entre los espacios vacíos de los tulipanes dejando la mitad de la hoja fuera de la tapa y moldeando para que quede una onda.
Con la pintura de uñas escarchada decoro la base de plástico que quedó expuesta.
Dejamos secar la pieza totalmente.
Este porta velas fue intencionado para lamparitas, pero el material es inflamable por lo cual si enciendo una vela baja podría correr el riesgo que se queme, por lo cual solo tomé la base metálica y es mejor colocar una vela alta.

I repeat the previous procedure to make the rest of the leaves, sticking them into the gaps between the tulips, leaving half the leaf hanging over the edge of the lid and shaping it to create a wave.
I use glitter nail varnish to decorate the exposed plastic base.
We leave the piece to dry completely.
This candle holder was originally intended for small tea lights, but as the material is flammable, if I light a short candle there is a risk it might catch fire; therefore, I’ve only used the metal base and it’s best to use a tall candle.
