Very easy pencil holder

Hace unas semanas compre unos nuevos colores para mí y no tenía donde colocarlos ya que el único porta lápices que tenia esta muy lleno con marcadores de mi hijo, asi que se me ocurrió hacer mi propio porta lápices y de paso adornarlo con decoración de Kuromi, ya que tengo una agenda que es de este personaje y me pareció buena idea recortar dos figuritas de esta agenda para pegarlos aquí y darle un mejor acabado, además se ve muy cute.

A few weeks ago, I bought some new colored pencils for myself, but I didn't have anywhere to put them since the only pencil holder I had was already full of my son's markers, so I decided to make my own pencil holder and, while I was at it, decorate it with Kuromi motifs. Since I have a planner featuring this character, I thought it would be a good idea to cut out two little figures from the planner to glue onto the pencil holder and give it a nicer finish—plus, it looks really cute.

Primero tomamos el tubo de cartón y lo forramos con la cartulina de color de nuestra preferencia, en este caso elegí un morado muy oscuro que me recuerda muchísimo a Kuromi, quedaba perfecto realmente y menos mal porque no conseguí mas cartulina de esos colores jajaja lo pegue con silicón caliente y abajo le pegue otro cartón para que se sostuviera y quedara sellado.

First, we took the cardboard tube and covered it with cardstock in the color of our choice. In this case, I chose a very dark purple that really reminds me of Kuromi—it looked perfect, and thank goodness, because I couldn’t find any more cardstock in those colors, hahaha. I glued it with hot glue, and I attached another piece of cardboard to the bottom so it would stand up and be sealed.

Recorte el sobrante del cartón que puse abajo y lo deje asi, ya que no necesitamos forrarlo ni nada porque ese lugar no se ve, luego corte tiras de foami color lila y las pegue arriba y abajo del porta lápices, quedaba super bonito asi pero cuando recorte la figura de Kuromi y la pegue se veía aun mejor, recorte la silueta con mucho cuidado ya que no queria dañar por completo mi agenda de KUROMI y sinceramente me arriesgue bastante ya que el material de esta kuromi pareciera una especie de plástico suave, por suerte se pego sin problemas.

I trimmed off the excess cardboard I’d placed at the bottom and left it like that, since we didn’t need to cover it or anything because that part isn’t visible. Then I cut strips of lilac-colored foam and glued them to the top and bottom of the pencil holder. It looked really cute that way, but when I cut out the Kuromi figure and glued it on, it looked even better. I cut out the silhouette very carefully because I didn’t want to completely ruin my Kuromi planner, and honestly, I took quite a risk since the material of this Kuromi figure seems to be a kind of soft plastic. Luckily, it stuck on without any problems.

Tambien recorte otra kuromi más pequeña la cual pegue en la parte de atrás del porta lápices, me encanto como quedo y pienso que para que tenga una durabilidad mas larga podría forrarlo solo que en este momento no tenia nada con que hacerlo, tambien le hice unos corazones con un papel holográfico que tenia guardado y los pegue alrededor.

I also cut out another smaller kuromi, which I glued to the back of the pencil holder. I loved how it turned out, and I think that to make it last longer, I could line the inside—but right now I didn’t have anything to use for that. I also made some hearts out of some holographic paper I had saved and glued them around the edge.
