One of the things I like to do during NaPodPoMo is try out new tools, tech, apps, etc. For Social Media and the Blockchain I've been using an Alienware 510H gamer headset to record each episodes.

Mind you, I do have proper podcast recording equipment, but I wanted to put a gamer headset to the test for its simplicity. I figured NaPodPoMo would be the perfect trial by fire opportunity to put the headset through its paces.

And boy has it.

What I have discovered is that I keep hitting the cord that connects the headset via USB to my computer with my hands. Which means I am constantly having to edit or rerecord sections where a noticeable thump can be heard mid-sentence. It's annoying.

I'm like this guy here when I record except it is just me in my studio talking to a computer screen. Why am I using my hands? I have no idea. Again, it's annoying.

Does anyone else talk with their hands when recording their podcast?
