When it comes to Wordpress for podcast sites, I'm a pretty simple gal. I can maneuver my way around a site as an admin and I can setup my own personal and business sites using either the default WP themes or third party themes. I know folks are fans of Elementor or Divi, and I can cautiously navigate my way around, but not comfortably so.
Lately because I needed to develop a landing page for https://evergreenpodcasting.com, I realized that https://brewing.media hadn't had an update since 2015. <-Yep you read that right. It had been 11 years since I had updated the landing page for my company site. Doh!
I also had a client site that needed some updates. So I've been poking around some of what is possible in Elementor and while I'm still a bit skittish about it, I have a better understanding of the basic functionality.
I'm sure for the folks who can make Wordpress sing and build beautiful sites, this is all mundane. But for someone who hasn't really played around with things like Additional CSS before, this has been a new adventure. It does remind me of my first forays into Wordpress back about twenty or so years ago. I think of this as sort of an experimental lab. I have an idea for what I want to happen and then trying out different things until I find what works for me with my scope or lack thereof of experience and having fun along the way. And I am definitely having fun.
