I believe that we can design our lives. My own career in podcasting is proof enough for me to know that is true. So today when I was frustrated by the clutter I have allowed to stack up in my studio, I realized I had designed that too!

What?!

Yep, as I stood there frustrated that my studio was filled with boxes and guitars and chairs and computers and so many other things I had a very sharp epiphany. Just like my career path was by my design, so too was this clutter.

Sigh.

That was a painful reality, but in a way liberating. Because I then knew that there was no need to be frustrated by the clutter. What I needed to do was to make a decision on what I wanted in my studio and design my life to it.

  1. Decide.
  2. Take Action.
  3. Viola!

Well, maybe not "viola!" at this moment. After all, I'll need to take the action first. But I have decided and that is what will cause the action to happen. So even though nothing has changed in my box and guitar and computer filled studio, I feel so much better right now.

Funny how mindset works like that.
