it's summer here and the seasonal power- and sailboats have arrived. our town has a guest harbor that many boats stop by at for a night or more on their way along the long coastline. when the weather is ideal many prefer to anchor on the nearby idyllic islands and islets rather than overnight at the busy and sometimes loud harbor. but the town has it's charms and conveniences so the docks are usually crowded come evening. and when the weather is rough the calm waters of the protected harbor are extra attractive. to accommodate the seafaring guests the docks are lined with marine facilities and quite a few restaurants, bars, ice cream parlors, shops and more. here is a reflection in the large glass window of an ice cream parlor along the main dock. the shot was taken after 10PM so though it was still light the shop was closed.
the tubs of the different flavors of ice cream in the disk are all covered. the double image is a result of the thermopane windows with 2 panes of glass sealed together with a space filled with argon or krypton gas separating them. the 2 panes give slightly offset reflections to create the double image. notice also that since the ice cream disk inside the shop is not a reflection there is no double image of it
