The Slovenian city of Kranj has installed a giant Bitcoin circular logo near the center of the city, making it the first official monument dedicated to the first decentralized cryptocurrency in the world.
Authorities in the city of Kranj (Slovenia) built a monument in the form of a Bitcoin logo in the vial near the center of the city. The construction made of metal was made by Aleksander Frančeškin and Selman Čorović and was financed by two Slovenian technology companies: 3fs and Bitstamp.
The monument is made of a metallic material of rustic appearance and consists of the bitcoin symbol, inside a metallic ring that is inclined. The bitcoin statue is located on Staneta Zagarja Street, in the flask that links Oldhamska and Gregorčičeva.
The placement of the statue symbolizes the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the chain of blocks. The choice of Staneta Zagarja Street was due to the fact that as it is not a central location, this adds to the message of decentralization that the monument comes to represent.
