Courier station: In ancient China, it was a place where officers who deliver official documents and military intelligence can stay to rest, eat, supply food and water, exchange a horse to ride.
Courier stations were all over the cities and countryside, tons of messages and documents about political, economic, cultural and military passed through there.
Thousands of stations constitute a network for delivering information and substance.
Today those locations become the places where people pass the time with games of chess or cards.
Many different architectural styles and different size of houses as courier stations dotted the country.
In the city I live, there is an old courier station, across the street from the station is Starbucks, the station is ancient Chinese style, and Starbucks is modern American style.
Every time I went through the street; a strong feeling touched me. Did I cross the time and space? Did I come from ancient China to modern America?
That’s a fantastic feeling!
Starbucks as one of the representatives of American culture; she lets the whole world fascinated by her unique beauty.
She enables the globe to smelled her distinct fragrance of coffee, and her brand has been broadcasting through customer’s mouth.
Courier station and Starbucks are both from respective culture. Now gathering on the same street, that’s awesome.
One point is same,
they all have stories to tell, although those are different style;
they all have the easeful and cozy environment, although they are different easeful and cozy.
