I was going stay up to four or so in the morning so I could get two hours of sleep and get a game review out late Friday night. That is what it takes way to many times. I said duck it if I don’t get it out till Monday or whenever not a big deal.
Instead, I got some very much needed sleep. Which I’m quite grateful for. It was needed as I’m burning both ends of the wick like so many others. To that, it’s great to know there are so many trying out there as well. I may never read a single post of all those people, but, that fact this platform has so many people trying every week is amazing. We are so more alike than different by all ending up here. Even if it feels like some days it’s on fire. Make a s’more I say!
While we all will never get along or agree it’s at least great to have a blockchain where you can voice your opinion. While also not worrying about someone getting you banned and removed from it the next day if they disagree. Sure there are still consequences but that’s life. Such freedoms are not so abundant on other platforms. That itself gives one quite a lot to be grateful for even when we are not.
A couple of days ago I finally did it. I was on front page trending just for a moment! All thanks to my hard work and I did not even have to buy votes. All it took was Palnet to upgrade their system and while it was rebalancing out to the correct rewards for a brief moment I was up there with an insane payout. Yep, that’s right I’m thankful for Palnet! While my post is no longer worth that kind of reward it was an interesting day. All be it extremely brief as a bunch of other posts got to share in the lime lite as well. Kind of how I would imagen a trending page to be in the first place.
It has been raining like crazy here for quite a number of days now. Normally we would be heading into fire months with burning bans which means no open fires outside. Last week because of all the rain we had I was able to have some s’mores. I like to use square marshmallows and place them on fudged striped shortbread cookies. Weather pending tonight after I enjoy some very fresh produce I’m going make some of them on a campfire. Sorry, there won’t be any photos I guess you will have to go make your own s’mores to enjoy some!
Last month I started a garden and already today is the day I get pluck some tomatoes, peppers, and other stuff and enjoy my labor. We don’t always get to enjoy the fruits of our labor with all the things that can go wrong. While I am going lose some of it to way to much rain and other issues at least the rest is doing good for now. This makes small moments like today something extra special. Thank you to all those dam bugs that I’ve been fighting to make this even more worthwhile.
At least a couple of times a week during the spring and summer times no matter how long the hours I’m putting into everything. I give myself a short 5 to 10 min break and get to relax in a pool. While I won’t have such a luxury for forever and most never get to enjoy the simple pleasure of one. It’s days like today where I get to enjoy it longer than 5 minutes that are even more amazing. it’s like a mini-vacation. Gives me that chance to unwind and most of the time my brain understands to shut up and let me not stress out during those short seasons.
I hope you have something to be grateful for in life. It’s a long-fought and endless battle out there. Sometimes you just need to take a moment and remember the why in life and be thankful. Otherwise, it’s a whole lot of daily struggle with nothing to show for it. I’m truly blessed.
